Walgreens Deals 10/25 – 10/31/09

The monthly RR can be found at the bottom of the main Walgreen’s page and are a lot of the great freebies from last week. So, no one need lose their Walgreen’s RR for any reason this month… and remember, there are always newspapers.

This week’s ad shows the Dulcolax Balance is free after manufacturer coupon and register reward. Grab a bunch of ads. Put one in all your vehicles. Add one to your coupon binder. Laminate the page and carry it with you in Walgreen’s every time you shop for the next year or two.

This ad is the most explicit yet that manufacturer coupons do not mean you will not get a RR.

walgreens memo This deal is now for the Robitussin DM. The stores are OOS on the to-go, so the DM is being substituted. That means you can use this $2 printable or the $1 manufacturer coupon in the 9/27/09 RP. The cashier will scan a coupn at the register to trigger both the lower price on the DM and te RR for it. This only applies to stores ut of the to-go stock I id four separate orders this morning (10/25) and it worked like a charm.

Every week it is stated: a RR from the same manufacturer will not roll.

So wth does that mean?

Ok, after further review I decided to clean up my last clarification.

A RR from the same product or alike manufacturer will not roll if it is for the exact same amount.
If you use a $2 J&J RR on an offer from J&J that will get you a $3 RR, it should roll.
Problem is it does not always generate a new RR when from the same manufacturer even with differing RR amounts.
And, if it does not roll you get the cashier/manager arguments and the Catalina arguments that you used a RR from the same manufacturer, blah, blah, blah .

So, I am going to leave this as an absolute even though there are exceptions. I’d rather people safe than sorry especially when dealing with money.
