Hot, Hot, HOT Walgreens Deal Starting 1/31

by Ann on January 8, 2010

Tracking the source, even though there is no ad scan I am repeating this because it is fairly credible.

The week of 1/31/10 – 2/6/10 the following RR deal will be in place:

Purchase one (1) Bayer Contour Blood Glucose Meter $14.99, Receive $10 RR

Using the up to $30 coupon from the 10/25/09 RP, this works like this:

$14.99
- $14.99 manufacturer coupon
= $0.00 + Receive $10 RR!

Now, this may change and it may not end up in all ads. You also may not be able to find a meter that week. :-P Keep all this in mind when deciding whether or not to go for the $5 RR on the monthly deal this current month.

I’ve got five or six left, but I’m not sure there will be a meter anywhere in the area when this deal comes around.

What do you guys do with all these meters? I’m getting quite a collection. I already gave one to every diabetic I know, and the food pantry only wants food.

Dawn, a shelter of any sort, women’s teen’s or men’s will gladly take them.

Thanks, I never thought of that. We have a food pantry within walking distance and the library was just doing “food for fines” but neither of them wanted the meters.

Crisis centers, pregnancy resource centers (for gestational diabetes tracking), retirement homes (they won’t take them around here, but who knows), church donation, or refugee help center are more ideas. HTH!

Or even put an add on craigslist or freecycle to give them away

Your local fire department, free health clinics in the area. Any of those types of places. Call any home health care groups they might know more.

My 11 year old son is diabetic. We always need BG meters. There is an area on the “Children with Diabetes” website where products can be given away. It would mean so much especially if it is the type that has a few test strips as those run as as much as $1 each and we test MANY times each day. Thanks
