I went to Wegmans this morning to pick up an ice cream cake for my son’s birthday tomorrow. Yes, I should have made one with all the ice cream I have stockpiled (stockpile recipe in a few weeks – this is one good cake!), but I simply did not have time. The kid decided he’d rather spend his 21st birthday drinking with his buddies and not with his family. *sigh* I think that is the difference between an 18 year old drinking age and a 21 year old drinking age. At 18 we weren’t anxious to go out to some random bar and drink with our friends; we’d rather gather birthday loot from freinds and family.
As I was walking in the door I noticed a Turkey Hill truck and a cow either being unloaded or loaded onto said truck. At the entrance was a lady handing out samples. When she asked if I wanted one I replied, “No, but do you have any coupons?” She said, “Oh sure. If you are a couponer you will want a lot.” And she handed me a pile of 50¢ coupons that do not expires until 12/31/10! The ice cream is on sale this week for $2.69, so $1.69 after coupon doubled. I don’t need any right now, but if you do look for the Turkey Hill Ice Cream Truck at your local Wegmans.
BTW, she was gone when I left the store 20 minutes later so that was wonderful timing!
At Wegmans I noticed that band-aid are still 2/$3, so 50¢ each after $1 manufacturer coupon.
They had a lot of their summer stock 30-60% off. There didn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to the discounts, just that nearly everything was discounted.
I picked up a package of True North Pecan Almond Peanut Clusters with an on-pack peel off TMF sticker. The form is valid on the Pecan Almond Peanut Clusters or Almond Clusters from 6/1/09 – 12/31/09. The form is required but a copy of the CRT is acceptable. This form is not just valid at Wegmans, so be on the lookout!
