Sunday “Must Do” Deals

I am starting at Walgreen’s first thing in the morning. Not for anything spectacular, but because I have $25 in RR that expire tomorrow, and $10 more that expire Friday. I think I am looking at this:

(5) Nabisco $10
(5) newspapers $10
= $20
- (5) $1 manufacturer coupons
= $15
- (3) $5 RR
= $0.00 + Receive $3 RR

If I had not already done the Kraft $10 offer I could have done this twice, used up nearly all my RR, received $6 more and made $10 to boot via mail! *sigh*

Then I am off to Rite Aid tomorrow morning to pick up a few things… oh ok, to get some cheap pistachios. Hubby was in Austin TX earlier this week and their inserts had the BeneVia $5 coupons so he’s off to buy that (and some pistachios) in the morning. (He’s in Utah right now.)

I’m just hoping they have enough packs to get me to $15 so my order will look like this:

(6) pistachio
= $15
- $3/$15 RA coupon
= $12
- (6) $1 coupons
= $6 for three pounds of pistachios!

I really should go to CVS tomorrow morning to get the Complete saline for Sonny-boy. But, then I think about the ride, the rolling, the inconvenience of shopping CVS for me, and I know it is unlikely I will get there.

If I had a baby, the huggies deal at Kmart does not look too bad. But, no small children here, so KMart is a pass.

Target looks like a pass for me tomorrow. It seems every time I hit Target I spend as much as I save! Avoiding Target unless it is for a targeted strike (bwahahahha) seems fiscally prudent for me.

I’m much more interested in the super coupon items than anything else at Tops, so I may have to dig out some free coupons and head over there after all. We shall see.

A&P and Pathmark have some very good sales if you are in the area.

All-in-all looks like a light shopping day for me tomorrow. Walgreen’s and Rite Aid and that’s about it. How about you? What are your Sunday “must do” deals?

  1. While you’re at Rite Aid why not also get the Colon Cleanse ($17.99) and the BeneVia ($7.99) and use a $5/$25 and the $5 BeneVia printable. Both are FAR (Colon Cleanse only through Tuesday) so you end up making $10 and $25.98 counts towards your “Gift of Savings” total. I also want to get the nuts because I like pistachios but if they are paying me to get stuff I don’t need, why not?

  2. I thought about it Gita, but do you think it is donatable? When I donate something I like to be under at least an illusion that the product will be used by someone, somewhere.

  3. Oh, hubby is getting the Benevia… he has the coupons and he wants the pistachios for our Utah place (that I don’t go to anymore).

  4. Ann, you never know. Someone may use it. I give away everything I can’t use and hope that it will find its way to someone who wants it. If you can make money by buying something, I don’t see any reason not to. I bet there won’t even be any sales tax in NY on the Colon Cleanse.

  5. Right, no tax and that is definitely a reason to buy it, get the money back and an additional $2 off…

    (1) colon cleans $17.99
    (3) pistachios $7.50
    = $25.49
    - $5/$25
    = $20.49
    - $3 manufacturer coupons
    = $17.49
    - $17.99 SCR
    = 50ยข profit

buuuut this is only 1.5# of pistachios. Maybe I’ll bring both RA coupons and see what happens at store level. Who knows, they may only have three bags of pistachios in stock and that will solve that dilemma.

  6. There is supposed to be a booklet called Diabetes and You at Walgreen’s that will take 50 cents off the Nabisco crackers.

  7. Just visiting your site via another one (Thrifty & Chic Mom?)…love your site. I must say I have to really be disciplined when I go to Target….that store sucks my savings from me if I’m not careful.

  8. Excellent catch Wendy!

    $1/2 Nabisco โ€“ Triscuit, Wheat thins 10oz, Snackwells 6.75oz, 6pk 100 calorie packs!

I’ll add that to the post.

  9. Hi cjs,

I agree, Target can really be a money-suck if you are not careful!
