So the pooch decided to have a bad night last night, which meant that because hubby is OOT, Ann had a bad night last night too. The upside to this was I was out of the house and at Tops at 8:30 am.
I ended up going to two Tops and I was able to use 4 doublers on each order with the same card! YAY!
Store #1:
(3) Activia $1.50
(2) Dog Food $4.49
(2) Newspapers $2
(1) Terra Chips $3.99
= $22.47
- (4) $1 doublers
- (4) $1 coupons
= $13.47
Store #2:
(2) Cascade Complete $4.99
(1) Nestle Cookie Dough $2.50
(2) Activia Dessert Yogurt $1.50
= $15.48
- (4) $1 doublers
- (4) $1 coupons
= $7.48
Note: Bounty Basic are $1.09 x 2 = $2.18 – $1/2 coupon + $1 doubler = 18¢/2
I went to Wegmans after the first Tops and wandered around the store looking for something, anything, to buy with my doublers.
I ended up with:
(4) Pepsi $10
(2) Evol Burritos $2.99
(2) Nestle Cookie Dough $2.79 (and then kicked myself later because they are cheaper at Tops)
= $21.56
- (4) $1 doublers
- (4) $1 coupons
= $13.56
Biz is $3.79 at Wegmans, and Tops did not carry it (I found that hilarious).
After Tops #1 I went to Rite Aid specifically to try the Pantene deal
I tried one order because I figured “wth”:
(8) Pantene Restoratives $4
= $32
- $5/$25 Rite Aid coupon
= $27
- (8) $2 manufacturer coupons
= $11
- (8) $1 Rite Aid Pantene coupons
= $3
- P&G $10/$30 MIR
= $7 Profit!
PLUS I received (8) $2 +Up rewards!
If you are going to try 3 or more at once, you can use the $1/$10 coupon too. I forgot.
Also, Jane sent me an email with the following Rite Aid info:
RA has Tide, 13 load 2XUltra reduced to $3.09. There are $3.00, $1.50 and $1 coupons around. One store had them marked reduced;store #2 didn’t have them marked reduced, but they still rang at the reduced price of $3.09.
So be on the look-out!!
And then I got my car washed (I really need to sign up for Delta Sonic email! and then I came home.
I’m not sure how many more doublers I will do as I don’t really need anything now that I got dog food, papers and the cascade complete. Hopefully you all will tell me all the wonderful finds I missed at Wegmans!
And clearly Rite Aid was outstanding today.
So how did you do? Everything go as planned or did you need to make changes in-store? Did you find any great deals you’d like to share!? Details please, we want details!

Ann,
THANKS for the info on the Pantene deal. I bought some Olay cleanser a few weeks ago so I only need 4 Pantenes to get to the $30. I’ll definitely be doing that today. I was waiting for your post before heading out.

My Rite Aid had only beautiful lengths conditioner but no shampoo. I did not realized there was another kind that was included.
I did the Pantene deal just like you and got my $16 in UP rewards. Then I used those UP rewards toward the P&G deal which I did pretty much as you posted. I bought some Glad bags too. Paid $8.02 mostly in tax, but still have $16 in UP and $4 SCR…about a $12 profit. There are coupons everywhere around here and it is time for a nap! Great day! Thanks!
I went to CVS and got the earbuds, free Sobe (with RCK), and cheap Emerald Pecans (50 cents each with RCK & cpns).
Then it was on to Wegmans. I hadn’t gone to Tops yet so I didn’t have extra ads for more dollar doublers. As a result, I only did one order with 4 doublers. I do plan to go back at least once to do another order or two. Here’s what I got:
6 cans of blue label Goya beans for 16 cents each (66 cents reg price plus two 75 cent/3 IP doubled).
2 Lactaid half gallons $1.49 each (2.99 reg price plus newspaper bogo coupon)
1 Coffeemate creamer 69 cents ($2.19 reg price plus 75 cent IP doubled)
2 Kraft homestyle mac & cheese 49 cents each (2.49 reg price plus $1 IP coupon plus $1 doubler)
2 Kettle Baked Chips 50 cents each ($2.50 reg price plus $1 cpn plus $1 doubler)
I also got $6 in produce and I will submit for the Dundee NBPR produce rebate for $5 back.
The Pantene Restorative Beautiful Lengths was tough to find, it’s day 3 of our ad but I did grab one.
I did the $50 P&G senario you posted…but I grabbed the wrong Crest TP which I thought was a double pack but it had scope mouth wash shrink wrapped on top of the Crest. Ugggg.
However, not knowing this until I got a chance to review my receipt, I protested when the $15 Ups didn’t print, the mgr was kind enough to give me a $15 RA gift card instead b/c I was over $50 with tax.
I don’t normally go to 3 different RA’s in one day but today I had to b/c if one store had Bufferine then the other store didn’t have Pantene but I was able to do P&G at one store!
I went to three rite aids and none of them had the Pantene Restorative. At each store I paid less then the about of my rebates, so it was still a good day!
My daughter had to cheerlead in Port Allegany Pennsylvania today. It is an hour and a half away, and I had never been there before. Luckily, using the Rite Aid store locater, I was able to find three Rite Aids on the way including one right in Port Allegany! Has couponing become an addiction???? lol
This is how addicted I am ……..We left on Thur to drop my daughter off at college which is 9 hours away, On last sunday I had ordered coupons 10 cin bun and 10 cin corn flakes coupons for the tops deal but they hadn’t come in before we left
So last night after arriving home at 11:20 I ran to the mail grabbed the coupons and headed 15min to Tops. (am I sick or what?) When I got there, there was no cin bun on the self, I found the box in the pile of boxes that they were putting out. I opened it and took 10 boxes. I cashed out my order at 11:57, just in time. On my way home I got pulled over for speeding,(I just wanted to get home I didn’t even realize I was speeding) the only thing I could think of was that was going to be some expensive cereal. He asked me if I had been drinking lol, my eyes were all blood shot, I explained my day and he let me go with a verbal warning, When I got home I realized I didn’t get the $10 rr. I also realized I didn’t do the deal right I was supposed to buy 6 cin bun and 4 cin corn flakes in one order because they only double 4 like coupons. So that was a $6 mess up between the two orders
(I guess the moral is never go shopping when you are super tired)
So that is were I started my Sunday at Tops they printed me a new $10 rr and reimbursed me $6 (very nice of them, I figured I would give it a try)
From there I went to Rite Aid: total oop $3.61 total savings $69.24. This is what I got 5 newspapers, 5 Gain dish soap, 1 butt paste (lol, what a name) 1 bufferin 130ct , 2 joint juice (on a raincheck), 5 pantene prov. I still have 3 $2 up rewards and I can submit for a $6 bufferin rebate so I made $9.39 profit. YAY
Then I went to Wegmans to use the tops dollar doublers I bought 3 damimals yogurt they were 1.99 each and 2 silk soy milk 2.99 oop $3.98. While I was there I noticed a bunch of new sales that I will have to go back this week to write up, I was to tired today.
On the Pantene deal how did you get so many up rewards–mine usually only give up rewards one per card. I haven’t looked at flyer so I am not sure if something was stated about it.
They printed out one for each Pantene item purchased Andrea.

The Pantene Restoratives Beautiful Lengths was very hard to find. The first store I went to only had one and stupid me didn’t get it. The second store had none and by the time I got back to the first store the only one they had was gone. The third store I went to had two and this time I got what was available. I still need two more to complete the P&G MIR. I am hoping that the stores will be restocking. The circular did say that the limit was 1 as usual but that definitely doesn’t seem to be the case. I wonder if this is a mistake that they will be correcting?
At my rite Aid they only had the conditioner
so the assistant manager suggested buying the conditioner and then returning it later when they get the shampoo in so that this way I would still get the up reward.
The only RA I went to I didn’t see any Pantene’s. I guess they sold out already since I was there mid-afternoon as opposed to early morning. I left with only 1 Gain and 2 newspapers.
The CVS I went to has to be THE worst CVS out there. It’s a smaller one and it has the worst stock of any store. I had to burn $11 in ECBs, and I just burned them on Bonus Cheerios & Welch’s juice, no cpns used here. I’m getting tired of CVS. I don’t think I’m really coming out ahead there and everything is OOS within an hr of opening. So I may just burn all my ECBs and take another break. I let another $10 ECB expire cause I swore I couldn’t find it in my purse, and then I find it the day after it expires. URGH. I have to return the product since they wouldn’t let me use it expired.
Not a great deal day for me at all.
free aquafresh

also if you are doing the butt paste deal look on the box some have a $1 off sticker on
The $1/1 RA pantene coupons says you can only use it online at RA and one per customer. How did your store take 8 of them without telling you you can only use it online and one per customer?
Hi Carrie,
They scanned so they took ‘em possibly because the ad says:
Click on the images in the slideshow for money-saving coupons.
To find a store location near you, visit RITEAID.com
Basically stating they are in-store coupons. Since they scan, my suspicion is the coupon wording is incorrect (how the heck would you use those online anyway!?)
The “limit 1″ on a Rite Aid coupon has not applied for years and years. Their policy has been (for as long as I can remember) to take as many alike Rite Aid coupons as the customer purchased items.
That changed a bit when they went to (mostly) serialized adperk coupons, but still applies to the non-serialized coupons.

Oh dear! Wanted to do the Tops P&G deal. They had stock at the poor peoples store, but then I ran into a coupon Nazi. The first words out of her mouth were, “you can only use 4 doublers.” I said, “that’s all I have.” Then she refused to use a BOGO coupon with another $1 off coupon. I retrieved my coupons and left. Went to the richer peoples store and the shelves were stripped. Put together some kind of order. The catalina didn’t print for the grill. Everybody was real nice at the office and they said it is OK to use a BOGO and another coupon. UGH! Overall I did a lousy deal.
So did you have them manually generate the grill Catalina Wendy?
Ann
There is a certain key they have to print the Catalina. They used it too when I had a problem with the Kellogg last week.
Smart Source has $1 Colgate coupon that can be used at RA…2/$3 get $1 UP. This coupon is usually good for free toothpaste at other stores.
RA ad perk $1/2 Kellogg Raisin Bran. 60 cent coupon from from Parade. Use 3. Raisin Bran is 3/$6 -$1 ad perk – 3(.60)= $3.20 and get $1 UP= $2.20/3.
Right, so did they generate it for you?
Ann
Yes, they generated the catalina. My order was correct, so it is weird that it didn’t print.
My RA has had tons of the Pantene Restoratives Beautiful Lengths and I had a lot of $2 and $1.50 off manf coupons so I bought alot.
FYI, I only use conditioner on my hair. It cleans your hair and doesn’t strip it like shampoo. I started this summer because my hair was soooo dry and I am amazed at how better my hair is. So bottom line if there is only conditioner and you have dry hair–try it.
I just wanted to say that I always use the same card and do MANY more than four doublers with that same card. I have never had a problem. I also tend to do more than one doubler order per store at the same time. I just go to the self checkout and make sure to go at night when they could care less what you do, lol.

Hi, I had a quick question about your deal with the pantene restoratives. I am new at couponing and although the ad will say a limit of how many times you can do the UPs rewards per product, i noticed you got eight pantenes and all eight UPs promotions to coincide with each pantene. Is this a normal thing for the computers to print the Ups? Is the limit set in stone or is it more of a “guide” as to how many they want each person to buy?
According to Rite Aid Corporate, the limit is whatever the circular says.
This is not always so though, and finding out if there is a greater limit involves someone taking a chance and reporting it. In this case, Ms Benjamins told us that she did 2 (California ads start 2 days early), and so I decided “WTH” and tried 8 and it worked.
This week, it seems the Oral-B is limit 2.
Trial and error is the only way to know if the +Up are being rewarded in greater quantities than the circular limit.
