Rite Aid Deals beginning 3/7/10 (make money!)
Walgreens Deals beginning 3/7/10 (free and profit items!)
CVS Deals beginning 3/7/10

*****

We got a VERY late start this morning. I think it may have been a sign that I was not as enthused about the deals this week as I initially thought.

Our fist stop was Rite Aid. I had entered my vitamin CRTs yesterday and I was only $12 short so I decided to fill that and get what I needed, rather than what was a money maker. Because I was math-deficient this morning, this was my order:

(4) Nature’s Bounty Vitamin D ($9.99,0)
(1) Adult Acnomel $6.99
(1) Albolene $7.99
= $34.96
- $5/$25
= $29.96
- (4) $2/$2.99 vitamin coupons
- (2) $2/$2.99 skin care coupons
= $17.96
- $1 manufacturer coupon (I was out of vitamin coupons!)
= $16.96
- $13 SCR
= $3.96 + I will receive the $25 Rite Aid Gift Card

We then went to Tops where the National Catalina Offer did indeed print when I purchased six (1) $1 Kleenex! That is a deal. I think I’ll rinse and repeat that deal a few times this week. I just have to gather more 50¢/3 coupons from my inserts.

The front page of the paper had a $5/$50 coupon stuck to it, so look at your newspapers!

After that we went to CVS where hubby decided that the Atkins deal was not worthwhile. *shrug* We each got a softsoap though.

And that was it! We were out an awfully long time considering we only made three stops.

So, how did you do this morning!?

Hi Ann,
sounds like you did well, I went to rite aid too and did ok, but I was wondering where you get the 2/2.99 vitamin coupons you referenced I only have my $1 off one coupons from the newspaper inserts. Is it part of that special rite aid program only available in few cities, I forget what it’s called. Also I only buy stuff I use so I passed on the Albolene and Acnomel offers maybe that’s why I don’t do as well as I could, still don’t have this all worked out.

I am jealous! It took all my energy to drive 2 minutes to the closest grocery store to get a paper and a few deals. I don’t think I will make the 10 minute drive to all the drug stores while I am still sick!

Hi Donna,

They are the Rite Aid wellness+ coupons. (you have to sign in to access)

I urge everyone to sign up for that program. You will start accruing points immediately, and you will receive coupons at the bottom of your receipt that can be used in any market without hassle. It took about six orders before mine started printing, others have received coupons after two orders.

If you cannot use the wellness+ coupons in your market, there is an adperk $1 coupon that will be gone this evening. Watch the video and print as many as you think you will need now! That coupon is valid until 3/31/10. We will get new adperk coupons sometime tonight or early tomorrow morning. They may run the Nature’s Bounty again, or they may not. That is why I am suggesting you print it while you can.

I am probably going to donate the albolene and acnomel. There wasn’t tax on the acnomel, so it was a moneymaker for me, and even with tax, the albolene was a small money maker.

I was able to go to score Free Purex at my local Giant {Pa}! I stocked up! I also got Johnson and Johnson baby products today, since last time I went the cashier refused to let me use more than one coupon, so the manager let me get them today. I also got free renu travel solution, free ivory soap, and two free Kashi Cereals {had free coupon from recycle bank}
BTW, do you use Recycle bank Ann? I found a code starting tomorrow good for 15 points, if you do…

I do not, Janel. Our recycling is required by threat of fine, so our community is in the 75%+ recycled range.

Is the good good for all? Did you post it on your blog? I’d be happy to link over if so.

Its a cool program, and I don’t even use it for the recycling, I wish I could though!

Donna…Did you go to the Nature’s Bounty website…you should be able to print multiple $2 coupons by pushing the back button. Someone suggested this a while back and it worked fine.

Janel…way to go on the free Purex!

I went to Wegman’s to look for the new Nature’s Marketplace March booklet and found it to be a disappointment.

Smooth Move Tea $1.50 9/30/10
Dr.Oetker $1/2 4/30/10
Bear Naked $1 4/30/10
Olbas $2 rebate 4/30/10
Organic Valley $2/2 4/30/10

Rochester D&C didn’t get the $5/$50 coupon, only the Buffalo news. Oh well, I couldn’t find $50 of stuff in this week’s ad anyways.

I only went to Rite Aid for the Sure deal. Got 2 for $0.63 including tax and got one “try me free” sticker. The cashier gave me 27 Life cards. 27!! And wouldn’t you know, I didn’t get a single piece I needed or any instant wins. I did get 2 coupons I will use though.

I was with DH again for shopping cause of the snow, he drove & once again, we spent overall $200 and I did not get to use a single cpn. :( DH only will stop at a limited number of stores so I can only pick & choose. We went to 2 Targets (one b/c he returned something, the other was one we haven’t ever gone to in another town and we happened to drive by it unexpectedly), Waldbaums, Costco & Met Food. We spent $200 OOP. DH spent $110 at Costco (I was in the car) all on food. He bought a huge pack of broccoli & asparagus. Let’s just say the last 2 times he did that, I ended up throwing away nearly the entire thing uneaten & rotten (both veggies) b/c he didn’t eat them like he said. At Waldbaums, I forgot my yobaby cpns that I printed and they expire in 2 weeks from print, so I don’t know if I will even get to use them (2nd set I’ve let expire). They only had 1 Organic Valley whole milk left so I couldn’t even use my $2/2 cpn that expired today. I am sending in for $40 in rebates (hopefully I will receive them all). The only consolation I have is the food should last 1.5 weeks & we have enough to pack lunch each day this week, which will save us at least $50 btw the 2 of us from eating out. Even nuttier, I went to Met Food at the last minute after we got home to get some ground chicken for the Amstel rebate, and I discovered that 3 items I bought at Waldbaums were actually cheaper at Met Food ($3.50 savings total)! After I told DH, even he was surprised and said, “how is that possible?” I will have to check the Met Food ad for now on (our store is very small) but I can walk to it. But I always thought they had higher prices. Anyhow, I let $25 in cpns expire today unused that I traded for, so that’s a stinker :( Here’s looking at a better March.

Good for you Wendy!

As always with Walgreen it is YMMV as to whether or not a B1G1 coupon will be accepted with a B1G1 offer. Sometimes, you may have to get 4, pay for one and settle for 3 free.

I went shopping on my own this morning, and actually, not as bad as I thought and I felt less pressured to get my shopping done.
Since I’m on the fence with Walmart, I have been trying to limit what i buy there, since they give me so much crap about printed coupons–>boo them!

First i did stop there, and i only got 3 things, one i had a coupon for and 2 others i’m not sure if they make coupons for them or not, something i will need to check out.

second i went to target, i bought 3 bar soap for the olay gift card deal, luna bars that were in the bulk section reduced to 4 (half off), and 2 boxes of kellogg’s crisp, the price tag was 3.94 but rang up as 2.50 yay! and on top of that i did some splurge shopping for myself- i got 2 hand bag clutches, a blue sweater (100% cotton) and purple ballet flats. so i’m happy about my buys, i like target better anyways because they don’t give me as much crap about my coupons when i have them.

then to walgreens, nothing really caught my eye, so i only got the 4 starbucks for 1.13 awesomeness!

then i went to cvs, i was debating as to whether i should still shop there, but i was happy with my buy today so i will keep them on my list. from there i got gain detergent, softsoap that priced $4.49 with 4ECB (some sites said $4.99), and power energy chews, paid 2.30 and i got back 7.50 ECB’s.

then i stopped at the dollar tree because i forgot to buy the papers at walmart, figures i would forget.

so then i went home.

hubby asks did you forget to get the vacuum cleaner? poo, i totally forgot, my old one died like a week ago, i took it apart thinking i could clean it and it would work like new, except the motor is burnt out. figures, something so cheap breaks down in a year, ugh, so we went to walmart again, i got a few things that were free after coupons, and i’m sending in for the 10 MIR for bissell- the crazy thing, we got the same exact vacuum cleaner!

and i stopped at walgreens again because one site said that the schick quratto titanium for the MIR was on sale for 8.99 with 3RR, turns out the deal is for the women’s only, however, i debated getting it, and when i pulled the first one out, the one behind it had the razor with a mp3 player arm holder for working out. so i bought that instead and sending in for the MIR. Sweet!

As an FYI, there are numerous blogs featuring a CVS deal for the Aveeno Ageless Vitality claiming the price is $19.99, less coupon, less ECB, less rebate = FREE. The actual price of this product is $44.99 so it’s not even close to the deal some bloggers are featuring.

I’m not sure where this price point started, but this a perfect example of how the copy & paste blogger can unknowningly be providing readers with incorrect info.

Hi Liz,

I’m not sure where a price like that could have started… all those kits run $40 and up! Sorry you were disappointed. You could start reading me instead of another blogger that posted that deal. ;-)

As to where something like that starts, well it is not always copy and paste. Sometimes a blogger discovers a deal, and emails 500 of their closest blogger friends with the details. At that point, maybe 20% put up the deal, and then it goes viral when someone else posts that they saw it on so-and-so’s blog. In about an hour, no one has any idea where the deal started.
