This morning, my “son” came upstairs to get me. This was amazing because my dog does not like stairs. He doesn’t mind going up them, but he hates to go down them so .. he avoids the up too. (No one said he was stupid.) This morning I heard him jingle his way up the stairs (his tags on his collar clink), run to the bed and do a little “woof”.
Normally I will pick him up and he’ll lay down with me for a bit. Today he danced just out of my reach and led me to the stairs. He looked around, made sure I was following, and went down the stairs.
At the bottom of the stairs he led me into the kitchen to the chair where I usually sit at the kitchen table. On top of my laptop was a card from him
and a picture of him when he was 8 weeks old and all of 4 pounds. Hubby had taken advantage of the free 8×10 last Wednesday at Walgreen’s. He did it online and said they had a simple cropping program to make the picture look pretty good. He went in on Saturday and picked up the print. Cost, $0.
What is completely amazing is that Max is only 6 months old. How did he know to come get me, lead me downstairs and then bring me over to the computer? I think dogs are a whole lot smarter then we give them credit for being.
The other son is on a three hours time difference. I figure I’ll hear from him when he gets up… probably about 6pm eastern.
Here’s a pic of Max for those wondering.
