So the good folks at slickdeals made their way over to my blog again last night and this time copied all my 9/27 deals that have been posted for a while here. To add insult to injury I just got an email letting me know about all these great deals and they credited afc!
*sigh*
Now I know the emailer only had good intentions, I’ve been stewing about this for a while now. I do not know what action (if any) I’ll be taking but I do have several options I am contemplating.

Update: Ok, I’ve thought about it and the truth is, I’m not upset about the Walgreen’s stuff. I actually do not need credit… Walgreen’s puts out an ad, so it is Walgreen’s who should get credited not the schlep like me that simply types it up. Seeing the email did take me aback, however.
I have decided to simply wait out the ads until they appear on other forums though. Better for me in the long run. I’m not sure many people are looking at my main pages for future ads anyway, but for the people that do, I apologize.
And once again I am going to try and go back to not reading the emails about finding stuff I wrote up on other forums. After all, this is the internet and I cannot reasonably expect to not see stuff that starts here elsewhere. That is just the way it goes.
And, for those folks coming over from SD and awaiting approval for their posts… I’m just not that democratic I guess.

I am so sorry this is happening to you. I love going to AFC and reading the deals, but it definitely bothers me to no end when people do NOT credit. Makes no sense why someone would want full credit when they did NOT do the work. They know what they do and they know who they are.
The forums have made it tough. Much easier for everyone to get everything all in one place.
I thought we were all in this together. It seems to be different now. More people out to make something out of it for themselves instead of working together.
I too know what it takes to put a blog up and spend HOURS and HOURS a day focusing on it to make it perfect for your readers. It is really all about them isn’t it?

Poor Ann. Man, and they are really harsh over there about giving the proper credit as I recall. Why can’t they follow their own advise? I know you think they had good intentions but still… You’re too nice about it (from all the reasons that you gave on your other post for not taking action) so the “good” folks continue to take advantage. I hope you can come up with an easy solution as I know you have a great heart for this and just want to help out people… but they should still properly credit you.

Ann – I was rereading my comment above – which I wrote with empathy, but now that I’m rereading it, it sounds kinda harsh! I didn’t mean for it to be harsh sounding. =) I support you all the way in whatever direction you go! =)
