We have a dog. And from time to time I write about him, and sometimes I even post frugal tips for caring for a dog.
So I’ve mentioned Max before.
Hubby left for a trip Saturday at 4:30 am. I had not gone to bed Friday night until after midnight. When hubby woke on Saturday, I got up too – although a cab took him to the airport… let’s be serious now. I’m no longer 22 and coherent enough to drive at 5 in the morning, let alone after less than five hours of sleep.
Max wanted to “play” at 5 am. I wanted to sleep. And due to all his training… we played for a bit.
I finally laid down on the couch and caught a few more hours of sleep.
I had every intention of taking a nap yesterday, but it never worked out for me. Max, however, spent most of the day napping, so I should not have been surprised that he was wide awake and raring to go at 11pm.
And midnight.
And 1 am.
FINALLY he settled down and stopped barking at me to go out. He does make himself known. And, just to be sure I’d keep letting him out he made sure to “go potty” every time he went outside. I swear those were the shortest pees ever. He must have been holding back some for the next round!
So, I finally got to sleep about 1:15 am.
And I forgot to turn off the alarm!
I was going to completely blow off shopping this morning, sleep in and get out “whenever”. Instead the alarm went off and I hit the shower.
Max rolled over and ignored me.
Grrrrrrr
And right now? Max went back to sleep.
Is it any wonder I have a headache?

Ann,
Last night our Dog Blue walked upstairs and put herself to bed at 11:15 while my wife and I finished watching a movie. I guess Blue deserves a treat
Sean
Sean, I am soooooo jealous. You have no idea. Right now, Max is outside barking like a loon. My husband tells Max that he is lucky the neighbors don’t have bb guns.
