I ran a contest July 14 – July 16th. Given away were over $150 in coupons and gift cards. The “price” of entry was a frugal tip. Some were common sense, some were “wow, I never thought of that!”, some I disagreed with, and some were, er, umm dicey.
So, what I thought I’d do over the next month is take five of those responses daily and give you my take on the response. I’d love for people to add their thoughts and ideas too.
So without further adieu, the first five responses:

My absolutely best saving tip would have to be:. Visit “Coupons Deals and More” at LEAST twice per day for awesome coupons and freebee deals. Ann is by far the best and most active blogger out there!
Barbee is a very wise woman and she should have won ALL the prizes for that wonderful answer!
Stupid randomizer!!

Knowledge of the price range for an item is a valuable tool to help a bargain hunter spend his or her money wisely.
I agree!

I’ve always (mistakenly) thought Walmart had pretty much the best prices on everything…well, in the last month, I have learned different by using information I’ve learned from this site and others. Knowing prices for the items you routinely buy is absolutely critical! You think I’m kidding?? Take a notepad & write a few down, including size info, and just compare them to the weekly deals talked about here. I’ll never pay $12 for a package of Bounty papertowels or $3 for toothpaste at Walmart ever again!!
What Ginger is referring to is a Price Book. They are a lot of work initially, but the pay-off is substantial.

Be patient. If you are willing to wait for a good deal on a item, it will most likely come!
Very true! Nearly everything does go on sale at some point during the year. This is where a Price Book can pinpoint the sale cycle (every 12-13 weeks used to be constant, now it no longer true).

Ann, You are so funny-you made me laugh. I wasn’t the only one to make that particular money saving tip. Probably about a dozen others did as well, I just happened to be the 1st one.
This is a great Web-Log and I look forward to reading it every day. You provide an invaluable service to us all. Thank You!
P.S. Mr. Ramdomizer performed his duties flawlessly!
