I ran a contest July 14 – July 16th. Given away were over $150 in coupons and gift cards. The “price” of entry was a frugal tip. Some were common sense, some were “wow, I never thought of that!”, some I disagreed with, and some were, er, umm dicey.
So, what I thought I’d do over the next month is take five of those responses daily and give you my take on the response. I’d love for people to add their thoughts and ideas too.

I use everything up till it’s fully “gone”. I never buy new if I can make the old one do. I water down some of the products I use — not alot, and I call it “stretching” the contents. I also use Q-tips, or cut the plastic bottles my makeup comes in to use up every single drop. I can sometimes get another 3-4 days out of the container by doing this. Sometimes this does get silly when I think about it, but I do it anyway!

Hi! My best suggestion to save money is to READ THIS BLOG! You do such a fabulous job of letting us know where the deals are, I check your blog daily! I cannot believe the stockpiles I have been able to accumulate in the last 2 months I have been using coupons. Thanks for all your tips!

go through your cupboards and make a list of what you have.. make a menu for the week. making menus saves lots of $$ (and the tip about bringing your own lunch ~ kudos!)

My tip is always look for a clearance or marked down section no matter what type of store that you are in! You would be shocked at the deals that you can find
I never need to look for clearance in ANY store because hubby sniffs out the clearance racks and tables the secnd we walk into a store.
He has a knack.
