Sunday Morning Shopping

Rite Aid beginning 5/2 LOTS of free stuff!
Walgreens beginning 5/2
CVS beginning 5/2

*******

I had planned on being at Walgreens at 8am today. Since hubby was involved, we didn’t exactly get out of the house in time to be there at 8am. As a matter of fact, we got there about 10 after. I only had 10 Stayfree coupons (hubby was out west that weekend, so I have 26 SS inserts, but only 10 RP inserts), so we were going to divide the orders between two or three stores.

As you all know, I am an extremely organized person *cough*, so when we got to the sanitary aisle I stood there staring stupidly at the unmarked Stayfree hoping to figure out (by osmosis maybe?) which Stayfree were on sale.

After a minute of being unable to conjure up which items were on sale, I asked hubby to walk up front to get an ad.

You’d have thought I’d have asked him to commit a felony!

WALK!

All the way to the front door!?

He looked at me like I was insane.

As I decided to hoof it to the front of the store (I was just going to stand in front of the Stayfree and hope it would start speaking to me anyway), I spotted the clerk with all the sale tags. I asked him which ones were on sale, he shuffled through the stack, told me, and hubby and I each picked up two and went to the register.

We had to wait about 10 minutes because there was a lady ahead of us in line rolling Register Rewards.

When she was done, I rang up one, paid with my FREE $5 Walgreens gift card, received my $3 RR and proceeded to do a second order. The register reward tape ran out and a manager on duty had to be called to re-ring my order to generate the $3.

Hubby did his two orders, I burned the rest of the gift card and then we were off the “rich people’s Walgreens”.

Now, the rich-people’s-Walgreens has always had fantastic customer service. They have one cashier who is great, a cosmetic lady who is extremely helpful and store managers that will go out of their way to find you stock.

Yup, always great customer service.

Until today.

Hubby and I each grabbed two Stayfree, went up to the register to cash out, where the clerk proceeded to tell me that since it was “free” I could only get one.

I said, “Well it is not free, I have to pay something, but ok.”

There really was no argument with the “limit one per customer” as that is what it states in the ad.

However, when hubby went to ring up the order, he amended it to “one per household”.

After some back and forth the clerk called the MOD and then the clerk ran and hid down an aisle! (I kid you not!)

We explained to the manager what was going on, she agreed with us, and the clerk was VERY unhappy that he had to ring up an order for hubby.

I called 1-800-Walgreens as hubby was checking out. I explained the situation, corrected her when she said the item was “free” (not relevant to the discussion, but if it was a recorded call I wanted my 2¢ recorded on that matter), and explained that I had no idea what the clerk had been told, but he clearly needed retraining.

1-800-Walgreens agreed completely with me and was writing it up so that the clerk would be retrained and understand that every person is a new customer regardless of relationship.

We then went on to a third Walgreens where I was extremely gun-shy about trying two orders, but hubby told me to stop being a coward and give it a go.
At this point I had decided to just get them free at Rite Aid if we could not do two orders.

The clerk at the third Walgreens would have let us separate orders and cash out for an hour if we had wanted to.

You just never know how a transaction will turn out since so much depends on the cashier!

After that, I decided to stop at Rite Aid so I could do another Benadryl order. I stopped the MOD (who is GREAT) and asked her how long the 20% off regular retail price stays with a card once you have “spent” your $1000. She told me she was 99.9% certain (and offered to look in her book) that it was through the end of the year!

I went home to double check and it is!
Discount will remain active through the end of the calendar year. Members will be informed of discount eligibility via email (or mail if no email address is provided). Members must present their wellness+ membership card at check out to receive discount. When used with a sale priced item the customer will receive the lower of the discount price or sale price. Discount not valid on prescriptions, prescription co-pays, cigarettes, alcohol, gift cards, online purchases, lottery tickets, licenses, money orders, money transfers, prepaid cards, stamps, other mail services and items prohibited by law and may not be combined with any other offer.

And that was it for today. Just Walgreens and Rite Aid, although I will stop at Target for TPCs after I drop hubby at the airport.

Question: What metro-NYC papers currently have the best coupons? Newsday? I want hubby to buy for me today. Thanks!

So how did you do? Were your adventures smooth? Or did you have “issues”?

The NYC metro papers are all pretty awful when it comes to coupons. The New York News only has RedPlum & P&G. The New York Post only has SmartSource & P&G. The New York Times only has Smart Source and Redplum and their inserts are always very stripped down (especially the SmartSource).

Newsday, which is Long Island based, has great coupons but they’ve jacked their price up like crazy lately ($2.75 the last time I looked).

The Journal News, a Westchester paper, has good inserts and their Sunday paper is a $1.50. This is currently the best one I know of. I even subscribed to it (this is my third week) and they were great until this week. This week was awful. I didn’t get a RedPlum at all and the SmartSource wasn’t complete; it didn’t even have the cover page (just some stray pages from the middle of the insert). I called to complain but I don’t know if I’ll get anything for it. I got a $30 gift card for subscribing but if I don’t get some satisfaction for my missing inserts, I’ll cancel the subscription after the month is up.

The may be some decent papers for coupon in New Jersey but I never see any of them where I live so I don’t know what might be available there.

Thanks Gita. He’s only passing through at JFK, so he can’t get the Jersey papers (which used to be great, but who knows now). Looks like Newsday is his best bet today.

Did you talk to Donna at 1-800-WALGREENS this morning too? Or do they have more than one person working? It took quite a while for me to get through but she was extremely helpful. Anyway one of the Walgreens near me has been slowly “changing” the coupon rules and I hit my limit today. It was the second time that I’ve just cancelled my transaction at this location and once I got to the car, I just thought “This is ridiculous.” I had three items, 1 coupon and 2 RRs. This store decided that it is one RR per transaction and one transaction per customer per day. I don’t do multiple transactions at a location anyway so that doesn’t bother me except what if I forget something and need to go back in. My thought was (besides the fact that the RR states one per purchase not transaction) that you really expect me to buy one item one day to use up a RR and then come back another day to buy one item and use the other RR. My hubby and I share a car. I can’t drive back over another day just to get a body wash or something! Well Donna was extremely helpful and took note of the store location, and I went back in and spoke to the MOD and was able to do my transaction. I know I could have spoken to him in the first place and he would have been fine with it but knew that wouldn’t solve the problem long-term. There is a manager there who hates anyone with coupons and I think he’s behind their little printed up Word document list of rules that they taped to each register.

The rest of my trip went great (1 other Walgreens, 1 CVS, and 2 Rite Aids) but that really took up some extra time! :)

I did not catch her name, unfortunately.

I am wondering if there is a full moon tonight?

Ann,
Good news. Newsday is down to $2. People probably stopped buying it so they had to rollback the price. I was going to get a Daily News and a Post because they were only $1.25 and between both I would end up with a SmartSource and a RedPlum. It was a very pleasant surprise to find out that Newsday was down to $2.

Ann,
Sorry about Wags, I *still* avoid them at all costs, nothing that RA or CVS doesn’t make up for. I only did RA this morning, I also rolled all my ECBs last week and nothing interesting at CVS.
So RA was super easy, super fun!
1 Finish Quantumatic $10.99-50%= $5.49
1 Starbucks Frapp (gift to myself) $2.19-20%= $1.75
1 Schick Hydro 3 Blade $8.99-20%= $7.19
2 Reach Total $3.00 each
3 newspapers $2 each-20%= $1.60 each
= 25.23
-$5/20 vv
-$1/1 finish vv
-$3/1 finish tearpad
-$1/1 starbucks frapp
-$2/1 schick any
- B1G1 reach
-$1/1 reach
-$1/$1.99 wellness+ oral (used 3 of them)
=$6.27 with tax!
will get back $3 reach scr and $6 schick scr, all free and $2.73 profit!
how I do love RA!!!

Mine was Sunday afternoon shopping, but I’m pretty happy about it. I went to Staples and got a pack of batteries since they will be free after their Staples Reward and I picked up three free rolls of (rather crappy) SmallSteps paper towels with two $1 printables and one FREE coupon from the Sunday paper. Hey, they do fine for some outdoor jobs, right? Then to JCPenny for some socks. I was in a hurry and didn’t look long, so I did end up spending two dollars and change, but not bad for six pairs, I figure. Last stop was Wegmans where I picked up 12 boxes of SmartTaste pasta free with all the printables. Only regret was that after I put all the boxes on the belt, I counted my coupons and realized I had 14, not 12, so I’ll have to go back sometime before they expire, oh well.

I had a great morning! My Walgreens was fine. I used 16 register rewards and a handfull of coupons, got my digital camera, a bunch of food and still got back more in register rewards then I spent. The only “free” item they didn’t have was the trimmer, the clerk said they only got two although they ordered a bunch and to check back on Thursday. I wasn’t really sure what I was supposed to trim with it anyway, so maybe its for the best……. :-)

Rite Aid was no problem. The new wellness coupons printed on the reciept are crappy though.

And finally, I got 30 gallons of gas at Tops for 1.94 a gallon!

I did 6 separate transactions at my ULTIMATE FAV. RA store EVER!!! It’s one of the new “what is is, *world stores*”? Totally awesome/amazing managers, cashiers… totally stocked and super clean!!! I screwed up on the 4th transaction, my “Zyrtec” rolled onto the next order and dh was casually biting a fingernail or something.. who the heck knows, he never noticed till my total was in the negatives and I still had 4 more cpsn in my hand… I’m llike, WTH??? Needless to say, the manager overrode the Zyrtec, which I didn’t have in that order. So I paid literally .43 cents for that order, but on the last one, I paid close to $30.00!!! I could of killed dh, SERIOUSLY!!!! I swear, it would be easier to just take my 11yo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WAG’s, ugh!! I did get the deal for the “Off”, but I swear, I am TOTALLY HATING THAT STORE!!!! The cashiers, the managers, heck EVERYBODY has attitudes, and if you pull out cpns, well heaven forbid!!!!

My BF was visiting this weekend, so I went to Walgreens tonight. It was a great visit, b/c my fav coupon friendly cashiers were there. They had all the items I wanted and everything went smoothly. Until I got home and realized I still had my $2 stayfree coupon! WTH?! My Wags did everything right and I was the one who screwed up?? I even had my 75% off chocolate bunny as a filler, but took it out at the last minute. *sigh* Oh well, the item was still free. I’m going back tomorrow to pick up a prescription, so I’ll get another pkg and roll the Plackers RR.

Did anyone try the Benadryl/Sudafed/Tylenol deal at Walgreens? I tried it and didn’t get the RRs. I bought the Stayfree and Tone at the same time and used manufacturers coupons for all the items. I got the RRs for the Stayfree and Tone but not the Benadryl. The cashier called over a manager who said that I didn’t get the RRs because I used a manufacturers coupon. I pointed out that I used coupons for the other items and got the RRs. She said that the Benadryl deal was “different”; I didn’t quite get what she said. I told her that since I wasn’t getting the RRs, I wanted to return the Benadryl. She processed the refund and I got back $9.98 on my credit card even though I only spent $4.98 after the $5/2 coupon. It is really nice to come out ahead at Walgreens once in a while. Their RR system is enough to drive you crazy. I had sworn off Walgreens since last fall but this week’s deals were hard to resist.

Gita,

That RR isn’t printing with the coupon. Apparently it’s the same problem they had a couple of weeks ago. I bought some knowing the RR wasn’t going to print, because I needed some allergy medicine.

We had family in town so I didn’t get to do much. I just made a quick trip to rite aid to finish up the benadryl deal. I got 6 packages of stayfree pads and 2 benadryl. My total was $0.49 and that completed my benadryl so after all of my transactions between last week and today I spent a total of $1.36 for the benadryl and am getting back $45 in giftcards! Hubby was pretty amazed with that one esp since he can actually use the benadryl. I plan to go to tops later this week to use some blinkies I have to get cereal for $0.49, free ronzoni pasta and real goodness milk for $0.19. Wegmans for some free smart taste pasta and free reeses cups. Walgreens to buy some olive oil, trashbags and whatever else with the $45 in rr I made last week from the natures bounty. I will also get some stuff from cvs I am sure after I look at the ad a little more. Oh and target for the huggies giftcard deal. I have $3 manus and $2 target q’s.

Hi Gita,

They are coded the same so the machine is reading the manufacturer coupon the same as the RR and assuming you are trying to roll it. If your manager knows what they are doing, they will issue you the RR.

Ann,

Where you at the Main and Sheridan Walgreens where that happened this morning? That is the one I shop at and I had the same really annoying experience. Usually the cashier who I had will do just about anything. When I got up there with my two transactions he told me about he new “one per person, per household, per day” rule. I didn’t argue…..even though I think it is absurd to say one per household….anyways, I graciously accepted what he said. What was annoying though was that they just let me walk though the store figuring out all of these scenerios without just telling me the rule up front. They know what I am doing there….I am always there! Anyways, I wasn’t really upset about all of that but then as I proceeded to play by the new rules, almost every coupon I had was scrutinized. I felt like they were trying to catch me doing something wrong. To keep a long story short, I spent more money than I intended too because all of the coupons didn’t go though and I ended up spending $6 on two toothbrushes I didn’t even need! I really think I need to go back and return them but I know they are going to give me a hard time because I payed with RR. My husband said, “What is better, getting your $6 back and having them talk about you badly when you walk out or just giving it up?” I told him that I can guarentee they are already saying stuff about me when I walk so I might as well be talked about and have $6! Anyways, sorry for the rant….I was just angry when I walked out. I just hate being treated like I am trying to pull something over on them. And yes, the BA lady is the best there!!

Hi Sarah,

Clearly this is something that the local DM sent in an area email, but didn’t make clear. If the ad says “one per customer” they cannot make the rules more stringent in-store ie “one per household”. But I do have to question how it was presented if I had that experience out my way, and you had that experience in Tonawanda.

I had given up on Walgreens because it was too much of a struggle, got enticed back with the idea of a $20 “stuff” profit, and now I am pretty turned off again.

Looking at the ad the next two weeks, I don’t plan on rolling (I see nothing I really want), so it looks like I’ll let hubby blow the RR on whatever he wants, and I am done with Walgreens … again.

Sarah I have to say that I try to avoid that walgreens if I can. My mom lives right up the street and I go over there every friday to visit with the babies and sometimes she let’s me sneak out to shop :) I never have problems anymore at drugstores except at that exact wags. They always give me a hard time no matter what! My fave wags is the one on transit( can’t think of side street) right by the target. They have the BEST customer service! The one manager is the most coupon friendly manager I have ever met…mr. Green. I usually shop at night when I am out that way so if you don’t usually go to that wags I highly recommend it!

There one by the Target is where we had to wait for the lady to roll. That store also have some great cashiers that know they are doing too. I have not seen the clerk with all the tattoos & piercings in a while (probably because I have not shopped Walgreens for a while), but she is fantastic! Her mother rolls RR so this clerk really knows what is what.

Hi Sarah,

My experience was at the same store. Even though you wrote Main & Sheridan that was not what I read; I read Sheridan & Parker … no idea why!

We may have had the same clerk (Adam) although he’s not usually accommodating to me, more like resigned. The other guy (mid 40s) is the one that usually gets a kick out of my coupon deals. Did this happen to you on Sunday morning? I was in there about 8:30am and immediately called corporate, so I wonder what time you were there?

Ann

amanda April 26, 2010 at 1:43 pm

Is adam the one with dark hair and glasses? He seems to always be the one to cash me out when I go there which is not often and I always have trouble with him. About a month or 2 I went to check out and had huggies and they give back rr…well he must have remembered me because when I came to the register with my packages of huggies he went and grabbed a manager and told her I was going to use coupons (I didn’t even bring them out yet at this point) and he wasn’t sure if he could give me the register rewards that he knew were attached to the deal. They continued to talk about how the register rewards shouldn’t print and neither person said a word to me yet. Then he finally rang up the diapers and I handed him my coupons and the rewards printed so he looked at the manager (for approval?!) And then handed them over. I dread that store but sometimes they are the only store that has anything in stock. Hmm wonder why?!? On friday hubby went in to get the mm nature bounty and he said they had about 5 left so he went back after we had made a trip to walmart and they wouldn’t let him get another one and gave him the 1 per household rule. It was a young female cashier. This store gave my mom a hard time before too. She doesn’t coupon shop but I told her what to do and they said she couldn’t use a certain wags q on her haircolor and had signs up saying the coupon was a misprint. I called corporate and they said the manager must have made it up. I just really dislike that store! Can you tell? :)

Reply

admin April 26, 2010 at 2:26 pm

Hi Amanda,

Actually, until this week that store was far and away my favorite Walgreen’s! I had never, ever been told “no” in that store before. The managers would look for stock for me, the cosmetic clerk was wonderful, etc., etc.

Both the male cashier I encounter in that store have glasses. Adam is definitely the younger of the two, and the one that was always worried something would not work.

The “one per household” is complete BS. That is why I called corporate immediately, and why the MOD told him to ring hubby up.

Maybe you and Sarah should also call about the store and their “one per household” rule? That is not what the ad says, and it is false advertising for the store to try and implement that restriction.

OK, I just wrote a long response and it got erased so here is the short of it. I think the “one per household” is unfair too and I will try to call on that later today. Secondly, it was Adam on Sunday morning (I was there around 11:30). He normally doesn’t give me a hard time….this is a very unusual experience for me with him. I think Dave is the other man we are talking about …..he is great! And Karen is at the beauty counter and I love her. People laugh when I tell them the BA hugs me when I come to Walgreens but it is true! She is so happy to help and it is really refreshing. (I love how we know them by name!) There is one manager who glares at me when I come in but besides that (and this older lady cashier who doesn’t even know what a RR is….if I see her, I don’t even try to do anything. She gets so flustered and calls a manager everytime)….anyways, besides these people, I really like this Walgreens. It will be interesting to see what happens in the upcoming weeks. I will probably try to go again when Karen is there and get the scoop from her.

Reply

admin April 26, 2010 at 6:27 pm

Oh! oh! I know who the older cashier lady is… she is never too happy we get deals, but she is always willing to ring them up.

Ok, after hearing what happened to you three hours after I had my incident, I am glad I called on him. Someone needs to retrain him soon! Another incident like that and I will move my scripts from that store.

This is why I emailed you last Monday…..it was Adam who told me the 1 per household rule with nothing posted. I went last Wed. or Thursday and spoke to David, who I love, and he knew nothing about it. He always takes care of me or Karen in cosmetics. The miserable one I avoid is the one with the short gray hair and glasses. She hates her job and customers, I avoid her at all cost.
I agree with Sarah, I will get the scoop from Karen. Adam is always nervous and has to call the managers for everything, I try to avoid him also. This should be interesting……pretty soon they will have the “Walgreen’s Police” after us to see if we reached our household limit!!!!

Well it all comes together now! Did you call corporate Lea Ann? What did they say?

What I find interesting is that we all have the same experiences with the same cashiers… so clearly Dave and Karen are great, Adam is a nervous Nellie that needs to be retrained and the older lady is to be avoided.

HA HA! You guys are too funny comparing cashiers! I wish I lived closer to put in my two cents. Oh well.

My Sunday WAGS trip was just that…. a trip! I got several meters, and tried two Benadryl transactions. In one transaction, I got two Benadryl plus one $.24 Easter candy filler, and used a $5 RR from last week’s vitamin deal and the $5/2 coupon. No RR printed. The manager came over and rang another transaction sans coupons so RR would print, then said she wouldn’t do it again for me. Fine. I also spent one of the $10 RRs on random stuff…got my son a no-spill cup [he needed one!] and got me a couple hair do-dads.

Monday, I went to a different WAGS for another Benadryl deal (SAME EXACT COUPONS AND RRs USED!), and the RR printed. I found the Organix shampoo and conditioner had shelf tags saying BOGO, so I got a shampoo and conditioner with a TMF tag, so both FAR! I also got the hair serum on a seperate transaction and it said SALE, but not at sale price, so it was probably BOGO also just not tagged, so I will go back to see if I can return that and get two on one transaction for another BOGO deal (no TMF, but if I was going to get it anyway, might as well get two, right?!).

My SIL works at a CVS in the pharmacy in the city, so I keep asking her to find out from the DM. The last word (on Easter) was “It is no longer opening June 1st, they pushed it back to later in the month, but it will open in June.”

So, until she sees the DM that is the latest (as of 3 weeks ago).

Hi Rachel,

Well they fixed the issue before so I can only assume they fixed it again. Do you have both of the RR from the benadryl? Look at the codes. Do they match? If they do my guess is that that RR will now roll. If they do not match, then they fixed the issue by changing the RR code.

On the lotion there were 2 prices- 4 something and then 2 something. Of course he called manager to see what price he should put in, Duh. It even scanned at the 2 something price. I was prepared about the RR speech, but he said nothing and nothing is posted. I am prepared to speak to a manager if it comes up again. I also plan on speaking to Karen and David again. Ann, we should plan an ambush with Sarah one of these days- we could meet at Hortons and go on over with all our coupons!!!! : )

I only had one of the RRs from Benadryl, so I couldn’t compare them, but I did decide to give it a try. YAY! The RRs ARE ROLLING on Benadryl!!! I used the last three $5/2 coupons along with the $5 RR (plus a filler) and it rolled on all three.

Hi Rachel,

Thanks for being the guinea pig! It had to be one or the other. They removed the restriction due to the manufacturer coupon, so now it rolls and they are free after the first one when you use a $5 RR + a $5/2 manufacturer coupon (unfortunately a 2¢ filler is needed to get you to $10).

Okay, any suggestions on how to spend oodles of $10 RRs in the next two weeks? I have never had so many (12 so far) and since the other stores in the area no longer accept them, I am at a bit of a loss. Gift ideas? Splurge options? Rolling them ‘down’ for awhile? Any and all suggestions welcome! TIA everyone!! :D

This post has some ideas Rachel, although $120 is a LOT!

Check out the deals for the next few weeks on the main Walgreen’s page

Haha I was thinking the same thing as Lea Ann. That would be great! In reality I probably wouldn’t be able to go though since 1. I can’t drive and I know hubby wouldn’t want to drive me 20 mins and then sit with the 2 babies in the car and 2. I am usually only that way on friday late afternoon until the VERY late evening. My mom lives right up the street and me and the boys (my baby and toddler) visit her every friday¤ if you guys plan for anything friday let me know. If not make sure you come back with all of the details :)

Lea Ann, I wanted to go to Walgreens yesterday so bad to return my stupid $6 toothbrushes I got through my whole Sunday fiasco but I was nervous about Adam being there….glad I didn’t go! That is what is frustrating….I am nervous to go like I am doing something wrong. Anyways, if you ever plan a Walgreens ambush, let me know! My couponing friend is coming over this morning and I will tell her too….she shops at that one too!

Rachel,

Look through the list of rebates on this site and see what you can use the RR’s on to get cash back.

Also, garbage bags, toilet paper, paper towels.

Sarah,
I know the feeling…I am trying to get better at that. Adam just gets so nervous about everything and always has to call a manager. I think they are getting tired of that too. Haha, you never know when he might be there….I have stopped and AM and PM and he may be there anytime of the day! The first thing I do when I go is scope out who is at the front register and proceed to cosmetics to see if Karen is there and lastly photo to see if Davis is there. I wanted to do the OFF clips yesterday, but I just knew that would of put him over the edge. They had plenty so I will go back. Good luck w/ your return!

Hi everyone, I am Sarah’s couponing friend she was referring to! lol, it is so funny to read about all the cashiers I know so well :) . Adam does just get nervous and it definately a play by the rules guy, but overall O.K., but this one per household stuff is totally crap, each person is a customer! This used to be my favorite walgreens, but this is definately going to cause problems. Honestly I have so much health and beauty stuff I just don’t need that kind of craziness.

So, what do you guys say to a meeting????? we could go get doughnuts across that street at Tim Hortons and talk about walgreens???? I seriously would love to meet some other couponers, so is anyone interested?

We shall ply the children with sugar so they will be quiet for us, and bounce off the walls for you later.

(Can you tell I can’t wait to be a grandmother?)

I am relatively new to this whole couponing adventure and live in Dallas. I, too, had a problems at Wags just yesterday. I used 2 of the $2 Fructis Hair Smoothers (sale $10 each) and then a $5 RR was supposed to print (had to buy $15 min for RR). Well, nothing printed. Mgr thought maybe b/c I used Q’s and rang them both again without Q’s, but still no Q’s. So I told him I didn’t want them after all and did a return. Here is the killer — he would NOT return my Q’s to me, said he had to keep them since they were part of the original transaction. I said that didn’t make any sense at all and he insisted that if I returned them and wanted the Q’s back that he would have to deduct $4 from my refunded amount. So I would pay $16 (2/$10 each less 2 of the $2 coupons) but only get $12 refund if he returned the Q’s to me. After about 5 minutes of calmly debating this point, I finally just gave up and said to keep the Q’s — all b/c I didn’t want to make him so mad that he might give me an attitude with future transactions. I should call Wags corporate office, too, I think. Does anyone have the phone #?

Hi Kathy,

You were right, he was wrong. What he should have done is given you a $5 gift card in place of the RR. THAT would have been good customer service. If that ever happens again, you can just call Catalina marketing with your CRT (cash register tape) information and they will mail you a long dated RR.

Catalina’s phone # – (877) 210-1917, option 1

Here is Walgreen’s phone # to complain: 1-800-925-4733 tell them you want your $4 back!
