Did you omit the sugar from your sour cream cheesecake receipe? I made it and added 1 cup of sugar. It was fine.The directions were very easy to follow.

Here’s how the four freezers came about:

My husband purchased one to stash his stockpile in prior to our marriage.

I had one prior to our marriage and I had a freezer/refrigerator combo.

When we purchased our house the kitchen came with a side-by-side, but not quite what you are thinking… one side is a full refrigerator, no freezer. The second appliance is a matching upright freezer.

So, we had 3 full freezers and a freezer above the combo.

When my freezer from prior to our marriage died, we replaced it with a chest which is kept out in the garage.

And, I have to admit it is only my husband and myself. My son wanders in between college semesters but that will not be (hopefully) for too much longer.

You have 4 freezers – goodness. I’ve just got a small side by side. I’d love to cook from stockpile, but then again I only cook for my husband and myself most of the time. I may just have to write down your meal though, goodness it sounds real good!

That is what I am striving for, Ann … defrosting the freezer. We have four freezers one of which really needs to be defrosted. Unfortunately, all the free/cheap ice cream deals are keeping the freezers pretty full (exactly how “unfortunate” is cheap Ben & Jerry’s and free Häagen-Dazs!!?)

I really like this concept of using as much as I already have on hand (and bought on sale). We need to defrost our freezer, so I want to do some stockpile cooking myself. We had a turkey on Mother’s Day for that reason, and could have had a turkey breast for Father’s Day, if we’d thought of it. Great way to save money and make the most of what we’ve got!!
