One of the very best things about regular couponing is the ability to build a stockpile for very little money. Unfortunately, a varied diet on a pantry full of pasta, beans and inexpensive meats can challenge even the most versatile cook.
The last two years, I have posted Stockpile Recipes most Mondays. Well, as you can imagine, I ran out of “good” Stockpile Recipes quite some time ago. It has only been with the help of you all that I have been able to post Stockpile Recipes regularly the last 4-5 months.
But now the Stockpile Recipes cupboard is bare even of reader recipes.
That is where you come in…
I truly need more in order to continue this series. If you could email me your recipes in which all (or close to all) ingredients are items that you pull from your stockpile, it would be greatly appreciated. If you have pictures, send ‘em along! But they are not necessary. Appetizers, main entree, dessert, it matters not. What is important is that your recipe is tasty and can be made from common stockpile ingredients.
Thank you so much for your help!

this is probably a stupid question, but what would you consider “common” stockpile ingredients? I’m thinking: pasta, rice, beans, canned/frozen veggies, Bisquick, condiments, broth/soups, crackers, basic cereals (i.e. Cheerios, chex) even “fresh” things like shredded cheese (?), cream cheese, sour cream, milk, ground meat, chicken breast…
Anything glaring I’m missing? I typically plan my meals for the month around what’s in the house, so I have a few ideas to send your way, I think…
Anything commonly found in YOUR stockpile Sarah. I’ve done stuff with farmer’s cheese recipes… not common for all, but for me it is!
Ann
Ok cool, thanks for asking Sarah, cuz I was gonna ask pretty much the same thing.
So I’m thinking “hotdogs” are some of the couponers stockpile. If not, then hell’s bell’s batman, their brand spanking new and need to look for the cpns!!!
I have this amazing hotdog/potatoe recipe I will send you…
I wanna see LIsa’s recipe! Got both of those things in stockpile and am sick of pigs-in-blanket. (Tho w/ my DH, p-i-b never gets old.)
No real recipe, but I threw together a pasta salad last week. Everything I already had in stock. Pasta, obviously, cubed cheese and parmesan cheese, good seasons dressing and then threw in whatever I had. This included garbanzo beans, olives, artichoke hearts, baby corn. We wanted to put in black beans too, but forgot. Its like whatever you have, use it! If we had it, pepperoni is good in that too.
Lisa, did you serve that cold? or did you bake it to melt the cheese?
Thanks
Definitely cold. Cook the pasta, then run it under cold water to stop it from cooking and cool it quickly. After it drains, add everything else, and chill it. Sorry I forgot to add that!
Just sent you a boatload of recipes.. Hope you find something in there you can use.. Ask & ye shall receive.
