Regarding the new rainchecks that are issued by the register: Will Up+ rewards be printed if the item is purchased after the Up+ promo is over, or will just sale price be given?

With the addition of the +UP rewards, how much longer will SCR be around?

the fact that multiple up+ rewards are generated-is there a glitch or thats the program itself?
thanks

The Rite Aid Coupon Policy states they accept internet print mfg. coupons, but my local RA store won’t take them. They will only accept regular coupons and RA coupons. Shouldn’t all the stores have the same policy?

My only question: When are you going to spread to the midwest? Namely KCMO area?? I know, unlikely. A girl can dream!!

Hi Ash,

Multiple alike +Up rewards generating is a glitch. That one he confirmed to me last week. You can do multiple different +Up rewards on the same order though.

Hi Charlene,

Here’s the Rite Aid coupon policy. If your store is not accepting ips, you need to call corporate and have them correct the store.

When are they going to update the coupon policy to reflect the rules of new +Up program? Many cashiers think that only one +Up reward can be used per transaction.

How many P Rewards can be used in on transaction?

Sorry for the typo, I meant to ask, How many UP Rewards can be used in one transaction?

Hi Kiddie,

Unlimited to the value of your order. That was confirmed to me by PR last week.

Hi Ann,

Please ask them to educate their stores, both clerks and managers, with regard to corporate policy for coupon redemption. They should be knowledgeable and, at the very least, have the policy handy for reference.

TMI, but….Neither was true Sunday, FOR THE THIRD TIME, at one of the Rochester stores where I have experienced numerous coupon problems.

Here are some things I’ve been told in the past:

RA BOGO with MFG BOGO means I can get only 50% of coupon value.

RA BOGO with MFG BOGO would mean I would get 2 items for free and “you can’t do that.”

I have been denied the use of a $2 coupon on a $1.99 item.

The best/worst is the time I was told that my entire order was one transaction. The MFG coupons said one per transaction, so she tried to limit me to one coupon for my entre order!

I could go on….

I have a question Ann, and don’t know if you will be able to answer it, but figured I would put it out there…My ad didn’t have the wrap around, but I still tried to get the crest whitestrips and no UP reward printed. Is there anyone I can call about it? Besides 1-800-riteaid ? Or am I SOL? either way I am ok, since I used Frieda Up to pay for it, but just wondering…

are they going to put a limit on the up+ rewards?if so when? Will i get multiple rewards this week for the John frieda and the crest-I have 8 coupons for each?

How does the wellness points work? Is it actual money spent without coupons? Each time i go i try to work it out but i still haven’t figured it out

Chani one of the things I noticed is the purchase additions are not immediate. I thought I was credited nothing last week (because I did not spend much), but when I went back this week I was credited quite a bit.

I believe the wellness+ accumulate excluding RA coupons, but I will ask to confirm.

If an Up reward requires a purchase of say for example, 2 of an item, and you purchase 1 in one transaction, will an Up reward print after buying the second item in another transaction or do you have to buy both in the same transaction to receive the Up reward?

I am interested to know if we will get the up rewards if we need to get a raincheck for an up sale/reward

Hi Marlene,

That is a good question! I’ll have to ask if they are cumulative.

Chani and Ann,
Based on what I have seen the Wellness points count the amount you actually spend (minus any sales tax) plus the value of all manufacturer’s coupons. I have been tracking my points pretty closely and it always comes out to what I expect. If you add up what you spent plus the value of all your manufacturer’s coupons and check your account online a day or two later, you’ll see that amount was added to your point total. It seems to update online a day before you see it on the receipt. Yesterday I spent $2.47 ($1.99 was sales tax) and the value of my manufacturer’s coupons was $12.99. Today I see that 13 points was added to my Wellness total which is what I expected.

Hi Diane,

No.

If the store is OOS they are several options, including substituting a product and lowering the price on the raincheck by the amount of the +Up rewards, but the preferred (not my word) method is to giving a raincheck on a product that qualifies for a +Up reward is to write the raincheck with a sale price and the amount of the +Up reward due as a gift card.

For example:

John Frieda 4/$20 + $10 Rite Aid Gift Card

Hi Gita,

That is exactly what I tried to tell my PR contact today, but he doesn’t think that is the magic formula. Let’s hope I did not give them ideas!

I suspect that if you have to buy multiples to get the UP Rewards, it would have to be in one transaction. I don’t think their system is sophisticated enough to handle accumulating across multiple transactions like the CVS system. If their system had that capability, it would also have to capability to set limits on how many times you can do one deal. I can’t image that they wouldn’t be imposing limits if they had the ability to do so.

I suspect the PR people may not know what is going one. So far, this formula has worked for me every time. I’ve been tracking it every time I go to Rite Aid for the last couple of weeks. It was a thrill to see the manufacturer’s coupons count because I don’t usually spend very much. I am already up to 425 and we haven’t had the Wellness program available here for very long. They wouldn’t even let us use the card the day before the official start.

Hi Gita,

Limits are coming. It is not a matter of “if”, but “when”.

He definitely does not know everything about the programs, but he is willing to find out the answers for us… which really helps.

I’m sorry to hear that limits are coming. I am sure that their programmers are working on it around the clock. Ann, maybe you could find out how long it will be before the limits come. It would be nice to know what sort of time frame we are talking about (next week, next month or the end of the year)?

It is great that you have an “in” with a person at Rite Aid who is willing to answer questions and look into things when necessary.

I got a raincheck on Sat. for the Motrin PM. Limit 1 and it sates w/ UP reward, free. I hate to complain, but that is not a moneymaker. I have 3.00 coupons. At Walgreens you can get the sale price, use a coupon and then a GC for the RR.

Hi Lea Ann,

That is an option open to the stores, although it is not the preferred option, which is indeed a gift card.

If you can’t find your Wellness card when you’re at the store, can the cashier enter your phone number and apply the Wellness card that way?

If you forget to give the Wellness card, is there a way to add the receipt to your account later?

Hi Marlene,

You phone number works if you forgot your card.
