Rite Aid Wellness+ Going National “Late Spring”

I’ve been hearing March, April at the latest on the Wellness+ program going national for several months now. Today I received an update from Rite Aid marketing that it is indeed “late spring”. That seems to confirm the April time-line. They’ve updated the coming soon information a bit.

I want to encourage everyone to sign up NOW. You can start to use the card immediately, and even if your market will not let you use the wellness+ coupons at this time, you will receive coupons at the bottom of your receipt that you can use regardless of whether or not you are in a wellness” market. The points also start to accrue immediately each time you scan your card (or give your telephone number) regardless of which Rite Aid market you live within.

So don’t delay, sign up now and start getting coupons and accumulate your points. You’ll also be ready when the program goes national.

    Hi Ann,
I’m confused. I signed up for wellness and I printed my card online. I understand they will mail me one in a couple of weeks. So, do I have my Rite Aid scan my card (either my temp or perm card) every time I buy something? Even though I’m not in a Wellness area??? I gave my temp card at Rite Aid and they had no idea what it was (not surprising). Should I just say “Please scan it”, do my transaction and see what prints out on the bottom?
    Thanks,
    Cheapjen

Yes Cheapjen! You have it exactly right. Even if your market is not currently accepting the printable wellness+ coupons, still have them scan your card (or give your phone number). You will accumulate points towards the 10% and 20% off certificates, and you will receive coupons at the bottom of your CRT which can be used in ANY market!

The fact that they had no idea what the card is IS surprising. This program will be national next month!

Thanks Ann, you’re the best! I’ve been doing money makers at RA all week – - your Biore / John Frida deal (two products I actually use. Whoo-hoo!) and the Covergirl. I’ve been doing 2 covergirls w/b1g1 Q to kick my total up over $20 so I can get the Biore, JF and CG for $1.09 (including tax). Makes it a $4 mm with the rebate. Free if youre lucky enough to be allowed to use 2 of teh Biore $1 RA video Qs. It’s a great deal. Anywhoo… I’ll start scanning that card!

    Ann,

I finally got some Qs printed out on the bottome of my CRT!!! I did 2 transactions and got 16 bottles of shampoo, conditioner and other haircare products for $1.50 (I found them in the clerance bin – John Freda, L’Oreal, etc) and I recieved 2 $1 off Qs on haircare. Whoo-hoo!

On another note… I saw a posting somewhere on your site that a gal is buying the Boston Globe for $3 at RA and then getting an additional 20% off and using a $3 off or $15. I know she did it with a B1G1 Almay deal too. I’d like more info on how she’s buying the globe for so cheap. That paper costs $3.75! It always has better Qs than the Lowell Sun which is $1.75.

The reason why I’m asking is I’m having a newspaper crisis. I’ve been buying the Lowell Sun for $1.00 at Walmart (I hate Walmart but I love the getting the paper for $1 when it has a price of $1.75) but they are no longer carrying it! I’d love to buy my papers at RA and it seems like this gal is getting a great price but I don’t fully understand the deal.

    Thanks Ann.
