Rite Aid Rumor!

by Ann on February 12, 2010

There is a Rite Aid rumor that the wellness+ program will be going national in March, April at the latest. Still, this is the same source that told me January 1st when all the other managers told me that was nuts. And the other managers were correct.

So take the rumor with a grain of salt, but do sign up for a card now. As I’ve previously posted, you will receive coupons at the bottom of your receipt to use on future orders even if you are out of area, as well as accumulate reward points.

So don’t delay, sign up now and start getting coupons and accumulate your points. You’ll also be ready when the program goes national.

I signed up for the card twice and eventually got one last week. The literature that came with the card said that it was only valid in the four test markets (it listed the areas). Since I am not in a test market, I have been hesitant to go to their site and activate my card. I believe that you get some special coupons when you activate your card and I don’t want to waste mine. I am assuming that the stores in my area won’t be accepting the card until it goes national.

Does this mean that eventually we’ll be limited like at CVS? You need the card to get the sales? Anyhow – I have to wait until it’s national before I can use it but I really did like how they didn’t have a card, although the wellness q’s are really nice.

No no! Use your card NOW. You WILL accumulate points! I never used the $5/$25 in my in-box so it does not disappear until the end of the year (still sittin’ there). You will also get coupons on the end of your receipt which you can use test market or not.

Ann,
Thanks for the tip. I’ll activate my card right now and try to use it the next time I go to Rite Aid. I hope they don’t give me a hard time.
