I am again sorry to ask you these questions, I love your deal ideas but this week you suggest buying 4 contact and at the end of the deal I think it ends up oop 98 cents and rebates of oyno. However, I know you donate some of the products you but can you do anything else with our free stuff. I am starting to get quite a collection of lovely shampoos, conditioners and body lotions. Any way to make money on the extras?

Two of my neices just had babies so I will be able to get them some free baby stuff.

BTW, I have been going on the manufacturers website and give you referrals.

    Hi Karr,

You are never a bother. :-)

Buying four (4) herbal essence (2 shampoo or conditioner and 2 stylers to use the B1G1 coupons)…

I definitely donate a lot of goods. I donate the H&BA items to a battered women’s shelter, and the food-stuff to a local food pantry. Other ideas are churches, men’s or teen’s shelters, etc. I wrote this article a while back that will give you some ideas on who you can donate to and how to contact them.

Here’s a fairly lengthy article that I wrote giving tips on how to have a yard sale (garage sale).

Er… you are telling manufacturers to look at my blog!? I already have quite a few that track me, I’m not sure how many more would find this blog interesting. ;-)

    Congratulations to your nieces!

    Ann

No No Karr, it is fine! Most major companies have people who keep watch over the blogs and forums. They usually join twitter or an rssfeed, or do the ole google search on key words. You did nothing wrong!!

Sorry to bother you with this question but I am new to this super couponing and I don’t understand the rite aid herbal essences deal. I have the BOGO coupon and I also have the coupon for one free bottle from the facebook fan promotion. and a dollar off coupon. How would I best use them, or could I use them all? And what does YMMV stand for?
    thanks

    Hmmmm aren’t you lucky Donna!

Ok, technically Rite Aid’s corporate policy on B1G1 sales + B1G1 coupons is that you can use the B1G1 on the B1G1 sale items and get both free. Confusing, huh?

    bring to the register:

    (1) shampoo
    (1) styler
    they ring up
    $4.99
    $4.99
    - $4.99
    = $4.99

Now you can give your B1G1 manufacturer coupon and get an ADDITIONAL $4.99 off

    - $4.99 coupon credit
    = $0.00

So in this case there is no difference between your free coupon and your B1G1 coupon.

However, you could make a dollar….

    (2) shampoo or conidtioner
    (2) stylers
    = $19.96
    - $9.98 credit
    = $9.98
    - B1G1 coupon
    = $4.99
    - free coupon
    = $0
but the register will still accept the $1 coupon as overage!
    - $1 coupon
    = make a dollar!

Make sure you have something worth a dollar though if you are going to do this because the coupon will not deduct tax.

I hope I was not too confusing. Feel free to ask questions!

Hey Ann and Donna, I did’t make a huge profit today because I don’t use the regular light bulbs anymore and no one eats the honey bunches of oats. I think I am getting the 1.00 rebate on the toothbrush and nothing else. Here’s my deal.

Had my 5 off 20 adperks and my 5 off 25 at the ready just in case something wasn’t PAM (my new abbrev for Price as marked).

I also had a new cashier and she was was really nervous as she rang me up.

I put everything up there first and it came to just over $20, so I started with my 5 off 20.

I bought the Herbal Ess. B1G1 with the manufacturer’s coupon

Hall’s cough drops 2.69 – .50 cent adperk, $2 off wellness (any cold product over $2)

Avenno was 7.99 I had 3 coupons (rideaid circular, manufacturer’s from the paper, and another $ 2 off any beauty product (thank you wellness) total $7 off.

Lysol B1G1 – $3.99 each, had a $1 off 2. I bought two wipes because we needed them.

Got the Oral B T-brush with 1 coupon and 2.99 rebate made my dollar!

Then she starts with the coupons, after only about three swipes she starts looking around for the manager. She says, you can’t use three coupons on one products (the Avenno), I tell her about the wellness program and ask her to give it a try. It goes through.

Now there is a few people starting to gather behind me.

The toothbrush coupon gives a bad beep – I am ready, this happened last week, I had the wrong coupon, I get the right one from my coupon kit. Yes!

Bottom line – Out of pocket .68 cents. Oh my,I forgot to hand over my Tuesday RiteAid card. Eureka, 27 cents off the Hall’s and 80 cents off the Aveeno . Oh no they owe me 41. cents. The cash register freezes up! She doesn’t know what too do! I hear heavy breathing from the folks beh ind me. Suddenly I spy a RA sleeve of cough drops for 79 cents – I thrust it at her. She rings it up – .38 cents – I am free. Out .38 cents and getting a dollar rebate.

    The cashier fainted, -karr
