In the Sunday Morning Shopping post, Wendy asked me if there was a good way to do SCR #68 when combined either the $10/3 or $7/2 coupons in today’s paper. So, I wrote up a few deals below:
FREE $10.00 Rite Aid Gift Card After Rebate
GlaxoSmithKline
Purchase Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00) Worth of Any Variety:
• Citrucel, Gaviscon, Vivarin, Tagamet, Sominex, Phazyme, Contac, Ecotrin, Feosol, Geritol, Gly Oxide, Oscal or Debrox Items
and receive back by mail a FREE $10.00 Rite Aid Gift Card

Citrucel and Phazyme are both $11.99 + $3.99 Phazyme small box:

(1) $11.99
(1) $11.99
(1) $3.99
= $27.97
- $5/$25 RA coupon
= $22.97
- $10/3 manufacturer coupon
= $12.97
- $10.00 Rite Aid Gift Card = $2.97

Now, if you want to find a store that has more of the $3.99 Phazyme small box:

(7) $3.99
= $27.93
- $5/$25 RA coupon
= $22.93
- (2) $7/2 manufacturer coupon
- (1) $10/3 manufacturer coupons
= Errrr too much.

They’d owe you money! If the store will adjust the coupons, this is FREE! or if you do not want to deal with it, give (3) $7/2 coupon
= $1.93 OOP + Receive $10 RA gift card

By any chance, do you have any ideas for how to utilize the $20 gift of savings certificate?
Thank you!

I am not using it this week, Tatiana. I do not think anything that is on sale is taxable in New York state except the lip balm and denture cream. Since this gift of savings is a store coupon the tax on $20 is subtracted in NY. That means an extra $1.60 off my bill if I use it on taxable goods.

How does it work down by you?

I think it works the same. Can you please put together some scenarios with it when it makes sense to use it? I will hold on to it until now.
Thanks!!

The only problem with that Tatiana, is the tax laws are different from state to state. I suppose it will work best for household goods, lotions or hair products as those are taxable in most states. Unless the coupon is automatically programmed to credit tax even if there is not tax on the order, this week is not the best use unless your state taxes medical products.

Looking ahead, next week is FAR medicine products again.

Great list! However, I couldn’t get the link to the Breath Again rebate to work.

Thanks for the scenarios!

I couldn’t get the link to the Breath Again rebate to work either.

The breathe again site has been down for three days now. I think someone did a “whoops”. Hopefully they realize they have not allowed people to view their site and someone corrects it.

Yikes!

Have you considered for the Phazyme: (for those who don’t have a lot of spare coupons)

7 @ $3.99 = $27.93
- one $10 off 3
- one $7 off 2
- one $7 off 2
= $3.93 (maybe less if coupons deduct before sales tax) OOP

Get back $10 RA Gift card
PLUS $27.93 is applied to Gift of Savings (which ends this week)

Jaime, I wrote up a deal using $5/$25 that is in the main post that costs less than what you wrote up… the $5/$25 is unlimited, so no need to worry about spare RA coupons. :-)
