Last week I began a week-ending shopping round up in addition to the Sunday Morning Shopping Post.
This week in addition to all the stores on the Sunday morning post I also went to Target and took another trip to Walgreens
At Walgreens, I burned some Register Rewards and finally took notice of the Free First Aid Kit WYB two (2) Band-aids sign. Probably even more than band-aids, but I was in a hurry. Anyhoooo my point is if you decide to do this offer you can get another one through the mail when you send for this this mail in offer.
Last night I went to Target with hubby. I gathered TPCs which I will post on the main Target page later today.
One of the items I was looking for was a new Brita filter System. Last week I took the pitcher outside to give Max some water in his outdoor bowl, put the pitcher down on the outdoor table, and forgot about it. Well the wind picked up later that same day and when I recalled that I had left the pitcher outside the next morning, I found a lovely crack down the entire side!
When we looked down the aisle, we noticed the Brita Water Systems are on TPC at Target. Digging through my coupon envelope I pulled out a $4 coupon! Scoooooore!
Well, we looked around the aisle a bit more and either hubby or I noticed a clearance tag on one pitcher. The price was $20.98 ($5 less than just the pitcher TPC), and it contained two free filters!
SCOOOOOORE!
Later when we went to the register, it rang up $14.68.
SCOOOOOORE!
I ended up paying $10.68 after coupon for the system with two filters!
The UPC is 0 60258 35471 3
The Target sku is 072 00 0085
I also got the Windex outdoor kits:
$12.99
- $5 manufacturer coupon
= $7.99 + I used a Target newspaper coupon to get a free $5 Target Gift Card
Note: If you try and stack this with the $3 Target Printable the machine will consider it two Target coupons on the same item regardless of the fact that one is for a gift card and one is for a price reduction. You may have a cashier who will push it through, but they really are not supposed to.
And hubby was all thrilled he found a 12″ Silon Tong by Vibe at 75% off. The original price was $14.99, clearance was $3.74
UPC# 8 38485 01362 4
Target sku 070 05 4492
And that was it. No real extra shopping this week. I ran around enough in Sunday.
So, did you hit the stores after Sunday? Where did you go? How did you do? Did you save a lot? Or a little? Or nothing at all?

On Monday my Mother’s Day gift to myself was an afternoon shopping sales tax free in Portland, OR. It was nice. I will be donating most of it, but I needed the outing and a good coupon challenge.
Last night was a different story. (WARNING: sob story, just skip or pat me on the head and tell me I will live to see another deal, but I am still miffed and saddened by my stupidity)I went to Rite Aid to get Purex I had a RC to use before the manufacturer coupon expires and my favorite clerk rang me up. He had been on vacation and we got to talking. First transaction was great: $2.42 ($2.41 tax!) and I paid $10.02. Get my receipt, go on to the next transaction. Total: $1.56. I have one $1 bill and not enough change to pay; I have been on a cash-only system for a long time. Odd since I should have $7.60 change from the last transaction. I don’t have it. It’s not on the counter, not in my pockets, not in my bag with purchase, not in my wallet, not in my purse…. Clerk calls supervisor for a drawer audit. He checks his pockets, the garbage, and under the counter. Draw audit is finished and he is off by $1.04. Okay, there’s nothing I can do at this point. The supervisor took all the numbers to the back and called in the drawer audit to the clerk–didn’t even come back out.
When I got home I dumped the contents of my bags and purse on the floor. There is no $7.60 (a few Skittles and smashed jelly beans, but NO MONEY).
What would you do? There are only two RAs in town and I go to this RA often–they know me and I know them by name. I feel like this was an honest mistake, but that still leaves me without $7.60. That money would have gotten me through next weeks drug store sales *sigh* Thanks for listening.
Awww Meghan, I am so sorry that happened to you. The only thing you can do at this point is call Rite Aid corporate, explain the situation and ask if there is any way to find out if the drawer was over to get your money back.
Hopefully they offer you a gift card.
