I have been searching high and low for the Stonyfield Farms reward program points and coming up empty. The offer is slated to run through 12/31/09, but if I want 65 points (or so) I’ll have to start buying soon and pretty faithfully. So, when I finally checked my email today, this was in it from Stonyfield Farms:

We wanted to let you know that for the next several months, codes will be in limited availability and not on all products. We’ll send you an email to alert you when codes are easier to find.

I know… I’ve signed up for it and was trying hard to search for some codes without success. I’ve been buying their Yobaby yogurt for my son for months now but that’s NOT one of the products that has the codes! It SUCKS!
Information I gleaned from the web site was that codes will start to be put on packages starting August 1. Since this program (promotion?) is new, I guess it wasn’t completely up and running when publicity about it came out. So I wouldn’t give up just yet.
But remember, it really isn’t about us. It’s about Stonyfield, and it is a marketing, customer research, promotion opportunity (gimmick?) for the company. The products may be organic and good for us, but it’s still a business!
I think that must have happened, Rebecca. I have opened enough Stonyfield yogurt that said “sign up for rewards” that didn’t have a code that makes me wonder if they weren’t trying to hype the new rewards program? If you ask me it backfired. I am unhappy I bought yogurt that advertised the rewards without having a code, not intrigued that they will be releasing codes soon.

I received a follow-up email from Stonyfield Farms (unsolicited). They have marvelous communication, I must say!
Hello Ann,
I just wanted to personally reach out to you and let you know that we’re currently working on not only clarifying what’s going on with the Rewards program codes, but also on extending the end date for the offer. With the best of intentions we began communicating the loyalty program on our lids, but unfortunately we hit a few bumps along the road and it affected original timelines. We are currently working on extending the program, but before we’re able to announce the new end date we need to work out some details.

This is yogurt situation is truly laughable. How in the heck do you do a promotion and get it on all the yogurt containers and then stiff us when it comes to participating since we have no number on the lid. You need to fire the person who did this promotion and go into high gear to straighten this out. It is false advertising my friends.
Ah – but you do make great yogurt products.

Every morning I have your plain low-fat yoghurt with granola since a decade. Just love the taste and freshness of your product. Is it possible to put your reward codes on the big containers of your yoghurt as well?
