On January 26, 2009 I made my first blog entry at Coupons, Deals and More. It was my Blog Mission Statement – that I had a typo in and hubby so kindly corrected me on three months later.
I didn’t make another post for a few days, and no real deal post for another week. I just wasn’t sure how this would work out, so I wanted to take it reeeeeaaaaallllly slow. Since I never told anyone I was writing a blog, I received 15 spammers, er, readers, umm, lurkers… hmmm I got 15 hits in February. In March I put my url on a linky and received over 500 visitors!
I was in heaven!
I had high hopes of having a million visitors by my first anniversary. Since I consider that day to be March 28th, I have a good shot at it. March 28th was the linky-day, the day I announced to the world (ok, to 500+ visitors) that I was going to do this. Some of those folks have become loyal readers, and I do thank you.
While I don’t consider the 26th to be my true anniversary, some would argue it is so to commemorate the occasion I was going to run a big, amazing, stupendous contest … on the 26th… well, until I realized that was today and I totally missed it.
Sometimes I am such a dork!
While you are not going to get the big, amazing, stupendous contest I envisioned before I forgot how to read a calendar, I did get something pretty special in the mail today that I do want to giveaway for some lucky person. I’ll be posting that contest soon.
I want to thank each and every one of you for taking the time to read my rambling, my snark, and the deals I put together. Without all of you, I’d just be blogging so hubby would not expect me to cook! (I swear that should have been my tag line.)

Thank YOU for all of the time you put in this Blog so that we may all get great deals. I don’t coupon just because I love it….i HAVE to. before this Blog i spent on average 80 to one hundred dollars a week on groceries for a family of 3 and now that we are a family of 4 our average grocery bill each week is 25dollars!
I love your site too and like that you add so much of your own thoughts and personality to the posts, whereas a lot of bloggers simply regurgitate the same deals that everyone else seems to be posting at the same time. Keep up the good work and happy anniversary!

I love your blog!!!! I can totally relate!! Funny enough I just started my own blog yesterday. My first official post was this morning. Several friends and family members have been asking me to do it for a while now. There are NONE in our area(state even) that I can find. I have never had a blog before so I am in the “Not so sure about it” stage. Only my sister and husband know it exists. Maybe in a couple of months, I may get the courage to put it in a linky..We’ll see
