I do not have one. Whenever I price, I base it on past knowledge of what sells in my area, how much excess stock I have, and what time of year it is.

For example, my first sale usually results in the highest prices. Anyone of my past shoppers that may have stockpiled from my sale are usually out, so I can get the most from my sale. If I have 200 shampoo, I want them SOLD so I will price to sell. That usually means to me “at what price would I buy these in the store without a coupon?”

I love your post and your blog! My couponing buddy and I are planning on having a garage sale in April and you just inspired us to try to sell some of our excess. Can you post or e-mail me your document with your pricing? We are clueless how to price our stuff and would love your advice.

Are you allowed to sell medicines at a yard sale? I have tons of stuff that I bought because it was a money maker and can’t find anyone to take! Like this week, I got a bunch of the dulcolax at walgreens and none of my family or friends say they need that kind of “help”. But seriously what about all they bayer asprin and stuff, would it be legal to sell?

I live in an apt, and they are having one in the clubhouse, and i’m hoping that i will get alot of stuff sold, it’s taking over my second bedroom floor. but i’m hoping to sell some other stuff too, like this huge free tv we got. it’s really bulky and something about analog??? not sure, but it has no remote, so hopefully someone will want to buy it because i’m tired of it sitting in my living room taking up space!!! but hopefully we will make us a profit.

Thanks for the ideas! My mom and my aunt used to have a yard sale once a year, but they got lazy and now just take items to a local consignment shop. However, my stockpile is overflowing right now and I need to clean out my room at my parent’s since I’m never moving back in. And then of course, I would make some money. Hmmmm….. =)
