Double Coupon Refund Enhancement
Listed below is an overview of the Double Coupon Refund Enhancements that were included in the May 2009 software group issued to stores. Ensure your management team and up-front associates are aware of this enhancement.
• Any double coupon discounts that were applied to the item at the time of the sale will also be applied to the item for the refund automatically.
• When refunding an item that was on a double coupon event the refund register will display the amount to be refunded, the item’s original purchase price of the item and the multiple coupon discount amount. to be refunded (it will NOT deduct the original Vendor Coupon value from the refund amount, only the double or triple amount)
• POS will display the amount to be refunded, the item’s original price and all discounts applied to that price in order to arrive at the amount to be refunded
• POS will print on the customer refund receipt (where applicable, not all refunds generate a customer refund receipt) the amount to be refunded, the item’s original price and all discounts applied to that price in order to arrive at the amount to be refunded
• POS will record the amount refunded, the item’s original price and all discounts applied to that price in order to arrive at the amount to be refunded in the Electronic Journal.
