Walgreen’s Deals

Sunday “Must Do” Deals

by admin on January 14, 2012

what to buy

I am quite sure tomorrow is gonna be another big shopping day for a lot of people!

Walgreens has some nice rolling opportunities for free stuff (if you use it, or know someone that does) after you pay for the first item.

I am probably going to try for the Brita pitcher at CVS as I have a lot of ECB.

I have a bad attitude about Rite Aid lately, though I must admit the theraflu deal is tempting.

Unless you have the “right” coupons, Tops is not a “must do” tomorrow.

Here is the new list of Wegmans extended sale price deals. Nothing too thrilling to me.

A&P and Pathmark have a few good deals if you are in the area.

Looks like a drugstore run for me tomorrow.

How about you? What are your Sunday “Must Do” Deals?

Best Brita Coupon Deal

by admin on January 13, 2012

CVS Deals

Before you get all excited about the Brita coupon deal this week, I wanted to compare which drugstore has the BEST deal. Since you can only do the MIR one, time, it is best to choose wisely:

Walgreens 1/15 – 1/21/12

Walgreens is actually the worst deal with the highest after rebate price:

Brita Pitcher $16.99
- $2 IVC
- $4 manufacturer coupon (from the 1/15/12 insert)
= $10.99
- $10 mail in rebate
= 99¢

CVS 1/15 – 1/22/12

Brita Classic Pitcher $14.99
- $4 manufacturer coupon (from the 1/15/12 inserts)
= $10.99
- $10 mail in rebate
= 99¢ and receive $5 ECB

The best cash deal is at Rite Aid from 1/22 – 1/28/12

Brita Classic Pitcher $14.99
– $4 manufacturer coupon (from the 1/15/12 SS)
– $5 SCR
-
$10 mail in rebate
= $4.01 Profit

You may end up choosing based on in-store stock or the amount of rewards you have, but at least you can compare which deal works best for you.

Sunday Morning Shopping

by admin on January 8, 2012

shopping haul

Hubby and I left the house at a little after 7:30 this morning. I was so excited to shop today (wow, what a different feeling when there is cheap stuff you want on sale!), that I was up and ready to go before 7 o’clock.

Our first stop was Tops since I figured I had zero chance of getting the finish at my local CVS. I went to two stores and did a total of five orders. The Nabisco $3/3 coupon from today scans off any three Nabisco products. That means the small size. If you have a WalMart, you may want to check their stock since the single serve (59-centers) will most likely give overage!!

Tops

Order #1

(9) POM Juice $1
(1) Frosted Toast Crunch $2.50
= $11.50
- (9) $1 POM coupons
- (1) Frosted Toast Crunch 75¢ coupon doubled
= $1

Order #2

(9) POM Juice $1
(1) Frosted Toast Crunch $2.50

(4) Nabisco Singles 59¢

- (2) Dulce de Leche Cheerios 75¢ coupons doubled
- (2) Multigrain Peanut Butter Cheerios 75¢ coupons doubled

- (2) POM $1 coupons
= $3.11

(6) POM $1

We did stop at CVS and nearly fell over when I saw an endcap FULL of finish!!

(9) Finish $3.50
(1) Benefiber $20.99
(1) Mars Single 75¢
= $53.24
- (9) $2.15 finish coupons
- (1) $1 benefiber coupon

- $2.50 in ECB from prior week
= $30.89
- $30 in gift cards
= 89¢ and received (1) $10 ECB and (1) 75¢ ECB and (1) $10 CVS Cash Card

Our trip to Walgreens it was just two simple orders:

Order #1

(1) Kids Omega Smart Ultimate Fish Oils $10
(1) Syntha-6 Meal Replacement Bar $1.89
(1) Candy (75% off holiday chocolate) 25¢

- $14 RR ($10 from order #1, $4 from a prior week)
= $15.11
- $15.11 gift card
= $0.00 and received (1) $2 RR

I will head over to Rite Aid later in the week. I managed to pick up one Vicativ and would like more.

One Order

(1) Vicativ $5.99
= $5.99
- $2 vicativ coupon
= $3.99

So, how did your Sunday Morning Shopping go? Were you out bright and early? Sleep in? Find a deal we should all run out for?

Details folks, we want details!

Walgreens

If you do not have prescription coverage, and even if you do, the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club can be a great deal for $20 per year. You get cash back on Walgreens brand merchandise, as well as discounted prescriptions. Hubby and I have prescription insurance, but the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club many times offers a better price than the prescription co-pay through our insurance.

And now, according to this article, the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club membership is only $5 in the month of January.

Normal annual membership is $20 per individual or $35 for a family. For the month of January (Jan. 1-31), Walgreens is offering a promotion on one-year memberships, making them only $5 for individuals or $10 for family memberships.

Stop in at your local Walgreens pharmacy for more details.

Sunday “Must Do” Deals

by admin on January 7, 2012

what to buy

Since CVS opens an hour before Rite Aid, I will check the Vicativ price (and stock) there first, and be buying at whatever stores is cheaper. But, in light of MC’s info on the finish, I will be trying that at CVS too!

Hubby has a leftover $10 RR, so looks like I will be heading to Walgreens for newspapers tomorrow.

I am definitely heading over to Tops tomorrow. I have a fistful of POM coupons and I am hoping to use them!

Wegmans has a few extended sale price deals that are very nice. I absolutely have to get there this week to make a new extended price match-up list! Not Sunday though. It is a zoo there on Sundays.

A&P and Pathmark have a few good deals if you are in the area.

How about you? What are your Sunday “Must Do” Deals?

Hubby’s Shopping Trip Today!

by admin on January 2, 2012

shopping haul

Hubby did not go Sunday Morning Shopping with me yesterday, but decided he wanted a few deals at Walgreens, and since the pooch needed dog food, I sent him to Tops too.

Walgreens Orders

Store #1, Order #1

(1) Lichi Super Fruit Probiotic $9.99
= $9.99 and received $10 RR

Store #1, Order #2

(1) NutraLife SAMe Mood, Joint and Liver Health $10
= $10
- $10 RR from order #1
= $0 and received $10 RR

Store #2, Order #1

(1) Lichi Super Fruit Probiotic $9.99
(1) a tiny 20¢ candy (that did not make it home for the picture)
= $10.19
- $10 RR from sam-e
= 19¢ and received $10 RR

Store #2, Order #2

(1) NutraLife SAMe Mood, Joint and Liver Health $10
= $10
- $10 RR from order #1
= $0 and received $10 RR

He did not bring my $4 in RR I had leftover yesterday, nor my gift card, but he still did very well.

Tops

(2) Chicken Livers (20oz each container) $1
(1) Godiva Chocolate $1.50
(1) Lindt Sleigh 44¢
(1) Petite Mints 67¢
(1) Popcorn Ball 32¢
(2) Fresh Pet $4.99
(1) Cinnamon Tea $3.49
= $18.40

He said Tops had a lot of holiday marked 90% off, but there was no rhyme nor reason to what was chosen, and not everything was that discounted.

Without any coupons, I think he did awfully well! The Tops deals (besides the tea and the fresh pet) were all clearance offers, and his $10 on Walgreens got him $40 worth of stuff with a $10 RR leftover. :-)
