At store #1 I presented a $3 motrin +Up reward that my dog ate part of (seriously) and asked the cashier if she could enter the numbers. She was completely put out that I asked, and the MOD was clueless. They “tried”, and it did not work. At Store #2 I asked the clerk to try inputting the numbers – no problems at all, and it worked!
At store #1 I had (2) $2 P&G +Up rewards, the machine hated the second one. The clerk tried to tell me it was because I was trying to redeem two alike. She was again put out that I asked the MOD to over-ride. At store #2, I used (3) $3 +Up motrin rewards, the machine hated the second one, the clerk over-rode it, no problems!
I’m not sure what the bug up the cashier’s fanny was at Store #1. This is far and away the best Rite Aid I have ever shopped at. If this had been my first experience in the store, I would never return. She was clueless how to do anything with the +Up rewards, and we are in a test market! She had three extra weeks to learn (she’s not new, I have only checked out with her once before).
After that, I gave hubby free reign at Store #2. He went through $39 in +Up rewards and a $20 GOS certificate!
I still have (1) $10 +Up reward and (2) $2 +Up rewards.
After that we went to 7-11 to get money at the ATM. We found a $1 Häagen-Dazs coupon (14oz size) and a $1/2 Butterfinger coupon.
Hubby thought he saw the Butterfinger single bags were the cashier register special at 2/$1 at Walgreen’s , so we stopped at Walgreen’s and nope. Too bad. He was all set to use a bunch! He’ll have to wait for a sale.
After that, it was on to CVS.
The quarterly rewards are printing. I got a whopping 50¢.
This was my order:
(3) Post cereal 3/$10
(3) Dove Bagged Chocolate $3.50 each
(1) CVS item $6.99
(1) Pepsi $1.99
(1) Combos $1.50
= $30.98
- $5/$15 CVS home mailer coupon
= $25.98
- $3 CVS item home mailer coupon
= $22.98
- $1.99 free Pepsi home mailer coupon
= $20.99
- $2 Dove coupon (from the coupon kiosk)
= $18.99
- $15.50 ECB
= $3.49 + I receive (1) $5 ECB and (1) $3 ECB
Since I made over $25 profit at Rite Aid I have to say this was a good shopping day. For some reason, it did not seem so though. Maybe because I just flipped the +Up rewards to SCR to get the cash out and not on stuff I really needed? It seems that hubby had the right idea at Rite Aid #2 getting what he wanted, and clearly my CVS order was what hubby wanted too. He’s happier with what we “spent”
These are just my totals, I did not include the $59 worth of stuff hubby got. His orders were $66 total, $59 off with +Up rewards/GOS, and he got (2) $2+UP rewards.
Final totals:
$53.60 worth of merchandise at Rite Aid, made $26.20 profit, still have $14 +Up rewards
$30.98 worth of merchandise at CVS, paid $3.49, still have $8 ECB
= $84.58 in merchandise, $22.71 Profit!
So how did you do this morning? Did everything go as planned? Or did you make changes on the fly? Did you find any good unlisted deals? Details, we want details!
