There are good and bad things about where we are staying in Miami:
The good includes CVS is basically across the street.
The CVS is a 24 hour store.
The Walgreens is six blocks down and also a 24 hour store.
The bad includes – taxes, taxes, and more taxes! Nearly everything I have purchased, including medicine, newspaper and food, has tax. The CoQ10 at Walgreens today somehow was missed by the Florida state department of taxation. An oversight I am sure. My order at CVS today (see below) would have been a quarter back in NYS, but it was $1 here due to all the tax. Yesterday at WalMart the tax was over $9!! It truly is crazy how much sales tax there is down here (getting the tourists to contribute I suppose).
I was at CVS at about 7:30 this morning. This store had a cashier just wandering around and three shelf check-outs. This is the first time I have used a CVS self check-out and it was as temperamental as all self check-outs seem to be.
My CVS order:
(1) Zarbee $6
(1) Blistex $2
(1) Newspaper $2
(1) Newspaper $1.50
= $11.50
- $11.25 ECB from a prior time
= 25¢ and I received (1) $6 ECB and one (1) $1 ECB
Then we wandered down to Walgreens where I purchased:
(1) Factor Nutrition Labs Ubiquinol CoQ10 (30ct) $10 (regular price $31.99!? WOW!)
- $10 MIR
= $0.00
Total Merchandise: $21.50
Total OOP: 25¢
and I have $7 ECB to use at another time.
So, how did your Sunday Morning Shopping go? Were you out bright and early? Sleep in? Find a deal we should all run out for?
Details folks, we want details!

The only place I “must” go tomorrow is CVS. I have bucks expiring on the 7th and I do not want to lose them.
But, I am definitely going to Walgreens too. You can’t beat free after rebate stuff!
If you have +ups expiring, there are a few semi-decent deals at Rite Aid.
If you use cereal, Tops has a great deal going tomorrow. You basically get your purchase price (after coupons) back in gasoline!
Here is the list of Wegmans extended sale price deals. Nothing too thrilling to me.
A&P and Pathmark have a few good deals if you are in the area.
Looks like I’ll be walking to CVS and Walgreens tomorrow morning. They are so close, I could throw a stone and hit them! I definitely want to check out the Publix ad too. I am always jealous of the sales when I see them, and now that I have the opportunity to shop there this month, I’d like to give it a go a few times!
How about you? What are your Sunday “Must Do” Deals?

When I wrote this up, all the printables were working links. These links can run out of prints, so print ‘em while you can!
Below are what I consider the best deals for the week beginning 2/5/12. Be sure to look on the main Walgreens page for more Register Reward and sale offers.
Don’t forget the new Walgreens Corporate Coupon Policy! Print it and carry it with you when you shop at Walgreens.

Walgreens $5/$35 Coupon
Head over to their facebook page, like them and get a $5/$35 coupon in your email (the one attached to your facebook account)
It burped for me, but maybe you will have better luck… or you could be one of the people screaming scam on their facebook page if you have an issue (I never understand this, everything is YMMV online)
expires 2/15/12

Last week we were in Birmingham Alabama and hubby needed to run in for some Oscillococcinum. He was afraid he was catching a cold, and did not want to be ill on a cruise – and there is always the worry they will not let you on if you are sick, it is a quick way to pass along a cold or illness to others since it is in a confinded area.
While looking around this store I immediately notice this in every aisle:
They had taped both manufacturer coupons to products or at least on the shelf so you would know there was a coupon available.
They also did that with Walgreens IVC, although even in my area that is more common. The other great thing about that Birmingham Walgreens? We went in on a Thursday and they had all the sale items!! WOW!
Do any of your local store tape coupons to products for redemption?

If you don’t have a big enough supply of K-Y from WalMart, you may want to head over to Rite Aid tomorrow for that and the gum +ups-makers.
Walgreens has been on quite a roll lately. If you have leftover RR, tomorrow is a way to convert $20-worth to cash via a rebate.
And with the “right” coupons, CVS is definitely a stop tomorrow.
Ummm Tops is kinda sad this week.
Here is the new list of Wegmans extended sale price deals. Nothing too thrilling to me.
Looks like another visit to the drugstores tomorrow!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

As I have mentioned in the past, hubby and I have the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club . We do have prescription benefits, but quite honestly the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club offers us a better plan.
Recently, there was dispute between Walgreens and Express Script where Express Scripts wanted people to use mail order, and not Walgreens. Read the press release: Walgreens and Express Script
Affected clients included Tricare, the health and prescription drug program for the US military. Needless to say some Walgreens customers were distressed with these changes. Many folks, like me, prefer to refill their prescriptions on a moment notice, and , have the opportunity to speak face to face with a pharmacist. So, in order to better serve their customers, Walgreens is offering their Walgreens Prescription Savings Club at the discounted price of:
Normal annual membership is $20 per individual or $35 for a family. For the month of January (Jan. 1-31), Walgreens is offering a promotion on one-year memberships, making them only $5 for individuals or $10 for family memberships.
Other benefits include:
• Savings on more than 8,000 brand-name and all generic medications
• Discounts on flu shots, pet prescriptions, nebulizers and diabetic supplies
• Bonuses when you purchase Walgreens brand products and photofinishing services
If you do not have prescription coverage, are involved in this dispute, or have prescription coverage that isn’t that great (like us), stop into your nearest Walgreens pharmacy and investigate the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club.
You can keep updated on this issue by following Walgreens on Twitter or Walgreens on Facebook.
