I am scratching my head over this, and maybe I missed something. I thought gold earned in 2011 was for 2012, and that we’d have to earn gold again in 2012 to get it in 2013. Or, we can earn it at anytime during the current calendar year and it would be good through the end of the following year (so if I never had gold and earned it today, THAT would be good for 2012 and through December 2013).

So was I mistaken and gold is good for two years (which is not how the TOS reads to me), or is this another Rite Aid goof, albeit a good one?

For those wondering where that came from, it was in my January Rite Aid statement I received earlier today.

The only place I “must” go tomorrow is CVS. I have bucks expiring on the 7th and I do not want to lose them.

But, I am definitely going to Walgreens too. You can’t beat free after rebate stuff!

If you have +ups expiring, there are a few semi-decent deals at Rite Aid.

If you use cereal, Tops has a great deal going tomorrow. You basically get your purchase price (after coupons) back in gasoline!

Walgreens has some nice rolling opportunities for free stuff (if you use it, or know someone that does) after you pay for the first item.

I am probably going to try for the Brita pitcher at CVS as I have a lot of ECB.

I have a bad attitude about Rite Aid lately, though I must admit the theraflu deal is tempting.

Unless you have the “right” coupons, Tops is not a “must do” tomorrow.

I was solo this morning. Someone decided to sleep in. Not only was my expedition solo, all my stores were empty too! I was the only shopper in CVS , Walgreens and Target. I decided to forgo Rite Aid.

At CVS this morning, I scanned my card at the kiosk for CVS Coupons. My quarterlies popped out, and wow was it HIGH! $1.50. Usually it is 50¢, so I wonder what I spend actual money on this past quarter? I have been paying with gift cards, so maybe I am spending more without any actual cash outlay?

The Rite Aid Resolution Reward will have weekly deals through 1/28/12. There is a definite temptation to buy a $100 Vanilla Visa Gift Card, pay the $6 activation fee, and get the $20 +ups. If you don’t mind working a bit for it, there are deals each week that overlap. You may want to hold off.

Tracfone cards also count. If you use a tracfone, that could be a decent way to get the bonus $20 +ups … if there is a deal on the cards.

Hubby and I wandered into Rite Aid today so I could use up my +ups that expire this week (more in another post). These were some of the 50% markdowns that were on the shelf in addition to the gift wrap, cards, candy and perfume sets:

The above picture is Burt’s Bees small gift sets. They were located in the Christmas aisle in my store.

The Nivea gift sets were $9.99, 50% off. Hubby priced the items at $18.47 in the store.

There was also 75% off tea lights (end racks), photo albums and picture frames.

I will tell you straight out I do not consider anything to be a Sunday “Must Do” Deal this week. Since so many spots are closed on Christmas, it would not be worth your while to make the trek anyway.

So let’s call this Monday “Must Do” Deals this week.

I will reassess the wrapping paper stockpile before I take off to shop Monday morning. I will tell you that I am after new holiday dishes. The ones I currently have were extremely inexpensive, which while very nice, seemed to have hurt durability. They have gotten nicked up. They were worth the money I paid at the time, but now it is time to upgrade. I probably should have investigated Macy’s much more closely the last few weeks.

As far as the grocery and drugstores are concerned:

I need to shop Rite Aid this week and use up my +ups that expire 12/31/11. I made my $1000 for the discount (by a dollar!), so I will be again concentrating on items we use/need.

I am very grateful I am all out of ECB. The CVS ad is not very good.

This morning I ran into CVS just to get the CVS Coupons from the Kiosk. I think there were so many CVS coupons because the ads are so awful and they need something to reward their customers with – as well as the enticement to spend.

My trip to Rite Aid was just a “spend ‘em so as not to lose ‘em” shop. I had $82 in +ups, $30 of which were expiring 12/24/11, $42 expiring on 12/31/11 and $10 expiring on 1/17/12. I was also $16 away from my 20% discount for next year.

I had hubby along, and he found a candy deal and generously offered to do a second order with his card so I could utilize more +ups. What a guy!!

I am off to Rite Aid. I have somewhere between $70-$90 worth of +ups (to the best of my recollection), and I need to spend them. There is nothing special in the ad, so I made a list of products we are low on and I will grab those and hang the cost. I need to use these +ups before they expire!!

I will stop into CVS, but only so I can write up the CVS Coupons from the kiosk post.

There is absolutely nothing of interest for me at Walgreens this week.

If I can locate my Vanity fair napkin purchase, I will be shopping Tops this week. If I can’t find them, I am skipping it.

Hubby and I were out nice and early this morning. We stopped at CVS looking for the Centrum Pro Nutrients and some Hershey Candy. The Pro Nutrients were no where to be found. The MOD said that they have received them in dribbles and drabs, no more than two at a time. Shesh No stock and a great coupon!? But wait, there’s more! The CVS Coupon Kiosk spit out a $5 CVS Pro Nutrients coupon too!

Once that popped out of the machine I decided to get a raincheck. My CVS will accept expired coupons with a raincheck. All I have to do is staple them to the raincheck, and when I redeem they deduct. Between the $5 CVS coupon and $7 manufacturer coupon I will get one free, so even though I am SOL on the gift card (no rainchecks), a free product is not a bad consolation.

I have 16 Centrum Pro Nutrients coupons, and I am not afraid to use them!

While I would prefer to do the Centrum deal at Rite Aid, my local stores do not open until 9 pm. My local CVS opens at 8am. Decisions, decisions. And I “only” have 16 coupons. To do the full deals at both stores, I would need 21 coupons. My guess is what I do will come down to stock on hand – and I am checking the dog food aisle for hidden stock!

Walgreens does not capture my attention this week.

I am heading to Tops. I missed out on the Duncan Hines last time, so I need to dig out my 50¢ coupons and get there for cheap cake mix.

Short and sweet for me.

I stopped at CVS for Kiosk coupons (a $5 beauty ECB printed out for me! YAY!) and decided to pick up the candy canes. They did not generate an ECB, so the clerk printed out a $2 ECB.

After that it was off to Walgreens where hubby and I each did one order:

Original total was $97.85 for two gallons of paint, a brush and two packs of rollers. I then used the $50 home improvement card I had just purchased at Rite Aid

I will be off to Rite Aid first thing tomorrow morning. I want to do the home improvement gift card deal. I needed to buy a new faucet for the half bath project that is taking longer than expected, so I will just turn around and pay for part of it with the gift card after making $10 in +ups!
