At this point, my manager gave me $20 in cash ($10 from the Schick and $10 from the wet ones). She is truly fabulous! She let me play and see what would happen, change cards as needed, etc.

We also shopped two Tops stores this morning. The tracking on the Sierra Mist and Diet Pepsi coupons is messed up. On my first two orders, I did 4/1 (4 sierra mist, 1 diet pepsi). The coupons came off:

Hubby and I were at Walgreens bright and early this morning! This was definitely where the action was this Sunday! I wrote up my first four orders before I walked in the store so I would be totally organized. Because I did not know how much stock would be on hand, I didn’t want to claim more than two Nasal Ease and two Similasan (one each for hubby and me) if they were limited in stock. As soon as I grabbed the two each through, the clerk went to the back room and grabbed a few more blocks (12 each) of each type, so I didn’t feel bad doing a third order with the Nasal Ease. Walgreens is the place to be tomorrow morning. From free kids toothpaste to a lot of roll potentials, Walgreens is the best store this weekend!

CVS is definitely tempting, especially the Burt’s Bees deal. Since it deducts coupons from the rebate, I’ll have to see if it works without rebate submission – assuming I can find my $3 coupons, of course!

Slow week at Rite Aid IMO.

My first stop was CVS for the Kiosk coupons. I didn’t purchase anything.

After that, I went over to Tops and grabbed a few of the $1 milks. When I checked out, the machine asked the cashier if I wanted my allergy coupon (I had “purchased” the free Allegra after coupon last week). She said “yes”, but neglected to scan the trigger card, and so I didn’t receive it. The front end manager tried to get it to print via the trigger (it is a Catalina), but you need to make some sort of purchase to get that coupon. Probably so points can deduct? Anyhoooo if you qualify, make sure that after the cashier clicks yes, s/he scans the trigger card.

After that, it was a quick stop at Rite Aid where I grabbed two of the Bic razors:

If you have the coupons, the Dr Scholls and the Speed Stick deals at CVS are worth a stop.

And at Walgreens the Reach toothbrushes are a good deal if you need them.

But in my opinion, Rite Aid has the only Sunday “Must Do” deal for this week. It has been quite some times since razor blades were free-after-reward, and those BIC are actually a reward-maker. I’ve had my coupons clipped for two weeks!

There isn’t anything at Tops that requires running in on Sunday.

New list of Wegmans deals. Still not going.

A&P and Pathmark have quite a few good deals if you are in the area.

So it looks like I will be stopping at CVS for Kiosk Coupons, and Rite Aid for razor blades. Short shop tomorrow.

On the one hand I really want free Allegra at CVS. We actually use it. On the other hand, I really want the 99¢ Popcorn Indiana at Walgreens. We are addicted.

Then it was on to Walgreens. You know, I can’t say enough good things about my Sunday morning staff! They really are great. For instance I used (2) $3 coupons and the got2b and did not get the $5 RR. Without my saying a a word, my cashier knew that I was owed a RR, so he took the got2b out and rescanned it without the coupon to see if it would work. When it did not, he was going to get a large one off the shelf to see if that would work (since there were other customers in line, I got it). The large ones generated the RR, he handed it to me and dealt with the register mess when I left the store. Simple amazing!

And yes, I do let corporate know. If I am going to complain about the (very) bad, I am going to compliment the good.

Yes, that is taking a chance that they may not be any less expensive, but we also don’t want them to go bad before we can drink them, and the diet does do funky things when old.

After that, it was my first trip to Rite Aid since the beginning of January.

The store I chose to shop at today had been redesigned. The new diagonal aisles seemed to be slowly buy surely coming to all Rite Aid stores. And with this new redesign, came a new store manager.

He was very, very nice, but had no idea how to adjust a coupon down to prevent overage. And neither did the two cashiers working today. He spent a lot of time on the phone, and we showed him the corporate policy which helped. Now they all know they can and should adjust coupons down – they just had no idea how achieve that goal, even after getting off the phone.

That meant I spent 48¢ on what should have been a $0.00 order, but that is OK since I am fairly confident everyone in that store will now know how to do adjust-downs on coupons once they get the step-by-step details from corporate. Everyone was very nice, and more than willing to verify, they just had no idea how to make it happen at the register.

My first stop was Walgreens this morning. I wanted the free toothbrushes and dental floss, so I figured I should go there first as many other people would be after the same stuff. And they were. Raincheck for everyone as of Monday! (probably after noon on Sunday, actually)

I decided not to get the toothbrushes. While the ad said “prevent” it was actually the crystal clean that were on sale, and the coupon specifically excludes that type.

Also, I “thought” mars Easter candy was 2/$1, but it must have been wishful thinking because they were 59¢ each. Next week they are 39¢, and free is good! (thank goodness I didn’t list it in the Walgreens post.)

And, there was no rolling for newspapers for me this week. Our Red Plum was truly awful, and I picked up 10 free papers with Smart Source on Friday, so more papers were unnecessary.
