Went Back To Rite Aid

by Ann on March 30, 2010

Due to my morning forgetfulness I made a second trip to Rite Aid this afternoon. It was ok as hubby needed something overnight Fed Exed and Rite Aid is on the way.

I went in, picked up the lash boost and the transaction was super smooth:

$24.95
- $5/$20 Rite Aid coupon
= $19.95
- $2/$2.99 wellness+ coupon
= $17.95
- $5 manufacturer coupon
= $12.95

Since my regular Rite Aid was out of Easter chocolate (seriously!!) I stopped at a different Rite Aid after Fed Ex. This is what I did:

(1) Lysol no touch $7.49
(3) Hershey kisses $1.99 each
(3) Reese’s mini cups $1.99 each
= $19.43

Ooops. So when the cashier asked if I wanted to donate a dollar to the Children’s Miracle Network, I immediately said yes!

+ (1) $1 Children’s Miracle Network
= $20.43
- $5/$20 RA coupon
= $15.43
- $1 adperk lysol coupon
= $14.43
- $5 lysol manufacturer coupon
- (2) $2/3 manufacturer hershey coupons
= $5.43

so I had been watching the total to see how many $1/$1.99 seasonal wellness+ coupons I could hand over. I ended up giving over four. Yes, a fifth one would have come off but I was not comfortable doing that, so I paid

= $1.43

and left veeeeery happy!

While it did take a second trip to work out the way I wanted, I was really please with my Rite Aid purchases today!

Every week it is stated: a RR from the same manufacturer will not roll.

So wth does that mean?

Ok, after further review I decided to clean up my last clarification. :-P

A RR from the same product or alike manufacturer will not roll if it is for the exact same amount.
If you use a $2 J&J RR on an offer from J&J that will get you a $3 RR, it should roll.
Problem is it does not always generate a new RR when from the same manufacturer even with differing RR amounts.
And, if it does not roll you get the cashier/manager arguments and the Catalina arguments that you used a RR from the same manufacturer, blah, blah, blah .

So, I am going to leave this as an absolute even though there are exceptions. I’d rather people safe than sorry especially when dealing with money.

It Can Happen To Anyone

by Ann on March 30, 2010

No matter how long you’ve been at this…

This morning I went into Rite Aid to get the L’oreal Lash Booster System. It is $24.95, so I planned on using a $5/$20 coupon, a $5 manufacturer coupon and a $2/$2.99 wellness plus coupon, making it about half price. Before I left, I printed out the XX/XX Rite Aid coupons. I knew I have the $5 manufacturer coupon in my purse, and I thought I had the $2/$2.99 wellness plus coupon in my purse.

Except I didn’t.

I completely forgot I used all my $2/$2.99 wellness+ cosmetic coupons when I shopped at Rite Aid Sunday.

And, I couldn’t find the $5 coupon in my purse!

*sigh*

Well, it looks like it is back to Rite Aid for me later today.

They are gonna think I’m casin’ the joint.
